First Set of Stitches

Well, we had our first set of stitches tonight:( We went for a family walk before dinner tonight and Colin was running up ahead of us and fell face first on the walking path. He had his sunglasses on and the nose part cut him open near his eyebrow. He was such a trooper at the ER! They had to put him on a straight board and velcro him down which was sad. He dint cry and we were SO proud of him! The stitches will dissolve and they have a special glue over them to protect from him scratching at them. The dr and nurse said he did better then some adults that they have seen! He enjoyed a strawberry milkshake afterwards for being so good:) We had professional pictures scheduled for tomorrow morning which we had to cancel but as long as he is ok thats all that matters!

Mommy Needed Some Peace and Quiet

Mommy thought it would be a great idea to have us listen to our new MP-3 players while we colored today. We think she just wanted some peace and quiet while she made us our lunch:) We love bopping to the nursery rhymes on them!

Enjoying the Flowers

Here we are enjoying the flowers that just opened up today. Mommy said just to smell them and not pick them out of the ground! :)

Cheers to this beautiful weather we have been having lately!! We enjoyed lunch outside today at our picnic table. Its been so nice and we love playing outside every chance we get! We need to enjoy it because mommy said it wont be this nice outside next week:(

Taking a Stroll

We took our twin babies for a stroll in our American Girl double stroller. Our neighbors gave it to us since their girls dont play with it anymore and we were really excited that they thought of us! Here we are taking our babies for a stroll:) We share the stroller really well! They needed to have a bottle so we stopped to feed them.
Then it was back to walking.

Play Dough Fun

Mommy caved and decided to let us play with play dough for the first time. Actually it was Auntie Kristina's fun suggestion when we were in Target:) Daddy was thrilled when he got home from work and saw the floor!! Kaitlyn and Colin sat at the table and played for over an hour and a half...it was great...til clean up time came and we had to tackle the floor:)

Daddy was making silly faces at us from across the table and making us laugh:)

More Rainy Day Fun

Mommy and Daddy brought our ball pit back out this afternoon. We had to put it away for a few months to make room for some new toys and when they brought it out today we felt like it was a new toy again.

Beep, Beep! Its only a one way tunnel! Hi Auntie Jill, Uncle Craig, Reid and Jay.....we are enjoying the ball pit you gave us!!

1st Time Bowling

Since we couldn't be outside enjoying the weather like last weekend we decided to take the kids bowling for the first time. They had a blast! We invited Grandma and Papa Young to go too. Here are some pics from our bowling adventure. They did pretty well for first time bumper bowlers! They even got to wear real bowling shoes! They had a ball that was the perfect weight and they could lift it which was great for them because they felt like such big kids!

Colin was amazed that the bowling ball kept popping up out of that hole:)
By the end we even let then bowl all by themselves....here is Kaitlyn bowling like a big girl!

Going to the Dentist

We went to see Uncle Jim (he is a dentist) and Aunt Shari (she is the Office Manager) today with Mommy and Grandma Young. They both had to get their teeth cleaned. They gave us new tooth brushes, tooth paste and bags filled with goodies from their toy machine. We had so much fun!!! Here we are getting a ride from the hygienist on the dental chair! It went really high....we are holding on tight to our bags of goodies:) Thanks Aunt Shari and Dr./Uncle Jim!!!

Our Visit to the Park

We went to the park with Auntie "KK", Uncle Randy and our cousin Quintin today. It was SO nice outside and we had a lot of fun playing with them while we were there!!!! Here are lots of pictures from our crazy adventure at the park:)

We went down this really neat slide that was made of bars that rolled when you went down and it was super fast!!! We had to hold hands so we could help each other from going too fast!

Our Auntie KK is so much fun and she took us down the slide but we went

way too fast and flew right off the end of it!

Mommy & Daddy's Night Out

We had Wauconda's Spring Gala last night for Cams school district. It was a fundraiser for the PTO. Grandma and Papa Young watched the kids at their house since the banquet hall was down the street from them. It was a nice night out for Cam and I!!!! Kaitlyn and Colin love playing dress up at Grandma and Papas house! This is the newest addition to their dress up collection. Grandma found this one and knew Colin would love dressing up just like his Uncle Randy who is a police officer:)
Colin wouldn't wear the police shirt or pants and only wanted to play with the accessories. He was trying to arrest Daddy before we left!
He even arrested Kaitlyn and handcuffed her but she did not like that.

Daddy was trying to get her uncuffed. The most exciting part of their night was watching the Bee Movie with Grandma and Papa in their little media room. Kaitlyn and Colin were so exited!!! They brought their pillows and blankets and camped out on the floor. This was mommy and daddy's time to escape once the movie started......we were off to the Gala:) It was so much fun to get out and have some time just the two of us!!!

We seem to be posting lots of random pictures lately so I decided to post some more:)

Here is an update on Kaitlyn too. We found out that she will need possibly 4 more surgeries which was really tough for Cam and I to hear!!!! We are in the process of figuring our whether her original pediatric plastic surgeon or a specialist plastic surgeon will do the surgeries. Its going to be a tough road ahead for our little princess but we can not justify leaving any of the birthmark on her lip based on the slight risk of developing cancer in the future however small that risk may be. She will have a skin graft with skin taken from in front of her ears and transplanted to her upper and lower lip for the first surgery and we will go from there.

We don't have much more info then that so we will keep you all posted!

Building Lego towers on our Lego table are the new things we love to do in our house.....the higher the better!
Even better is who can knock them down and make a bigger mess!
Here we are having fun with our cousin Quintin today. We love when he comes over every Thursday for mommy to babysit him. Kaitlyn was holding on so tight because he moves so fast now that he is crawling.
Not only do we see him every Thursday we even got to babysit him last Sunday all day too. Kaitlyn pretended to take him to the grocery store in her shopping cart. She thinks he is her baby sometimes!

Obviously we were standing right there in case he tried to climb out:)

Yummy Pancakes!

Mommy made us smiley face pancakes with raisin eyes for breakfast.

We thought they were SO funny and they tasted really good:) Here we are enjoying them!
