Shopping Trip

What a great day! We went to the mall with Grandma, Auntie Kelly and Quintin. We shopped our hearts out! It was raining so we thought it would be perfect to be shopping indoors:) The kids rode a few rides during our shopping excursion. Here is Colin and Quintin riding the helicopter. Colin had to press ALL of the buttons!!

This ride was a simulator of a roller coaster. The whole thing moved and tilted as if they were on a real roller coaster. Probably not their favorite ride but pretty neat!

The highlight for the kids was the carousal ride. We tortured them by sitting right in front of it while we ate lunch. It was great to use for bribes in order to have the kids finish their lunch:)

Finally the kids were able to ride it. It goes pretty fast and makes me too dizzy so I skipped out.

Memorial Day Weekend

We enjoyed the Memorial Day weekend!! We babysat our cousin Q two times over the weekend and the 2nd time he spent the night for the first time ever. Saturday morning Kaitlyn was reading Quintin a book. She is a great reader!!

One day we helped Grandma and Papa Young move a few last things out of their old house. Here we are outside playing in their yard hopefully for the last time...we want their old house to sell!!!

We unloaded the truck at the new house and enjoyed a yummy lunch in their screened in porch!

Then we played while the adults unpacked some more stuff. Kaitlyn was looking out the screened in porch for Colin during their hide n seek game..."where are you Colin??"

Colin was laughing because he was hiding under a chair right behind her:)

Kaitlyn dancing to Poker Face. She loves to dance and cant wait to start dance classes in about 2 weeks!

Grandma bought the kids huge balls, buckets and shovels to play with at her house. My kids love to dig, dig, dig!! Here they are "gardening".

Colin would dig all day if I let him!




Quintin slept over at our house when his mommy and daddy went to the Cubs game. The kids had so much fun!! Here are K & C looking for birds...actually screaming at the birds. My neighbor could hear all 3 kids they were so loud!!!

This is what the kids did for about 30 min before bedtime. I didnt know if it would get them too wound up or make them super tired. Worked in my favor...they all went to bed at 7:30 and slept 12 hours!!

We also went to our Uncle Jim and Aunt Shari's house for a BBQ. They were so sweet and heated the pool so it was really warm but the air was to cold so we were not able to swim. Here we are watching our silly Uncle Jim in the hot tub.

We all know that K & C are terrified of dogs. Mostly Kaitlyn though! Here she is pushing Cookie the dog around in a stroller. She pushed Cookie around for a long time. We were so proud of the kids for not being too afraid of the dogs!!

Thanks Nicole for always entertaining the kids for us!! We had a lot of fun and will miss you when you are at ISU next year!!!

Last Week

We were SO excited to get these cars from our neighbors. They used to be the girls cars when they were little. They are always so sweet to think of us!! Thanks Fox Family!!

The neighbor kids all play so well together! Last week the girls and Colin had a tea party outside. It was too cute:)

Friday night the Harveys and Tiemans came over for pizza. The kids were able to enjoy playing outside for awhile. They had a great time playing soccer!

We went inside and the kids played in the basement so the adults could chat upstairs. Kaitlyn, Madi and Colin were showing off their dress up clothes. We had a great time and look forward to getting together again!!!

Can you tell I was WAY behind on posts...this is the 5th post I did this afternoon! Tuesday night Cam was gone for work so the kids were playing outside enjoying the beautiful weather! They ate dinner outside too.

After dinner they had a rice crispy treat. They were screaming at a bird on top of the shed. They were offering the bird some of their treat:) Here's Colin offering his. Thankfully the bird didn't swoop down and grab it!
Wednesday night Grandma Young and her Aunt came over to visit. Aunt Carmie had a very special gift to give Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn loved playing with this Cabbage Patch Doll when we were at Aunt Carmies house. She talked about it all of the time. Aunt Carmie wanted Kaitlyn to have her doll and the wooden rocking chair. Kaitlyn was SO excited!!

Aunt Carmie explained to Kaitlyn that the doll has been passed down for many years. It was Kaitlyn's Great, Great Grandmas doll. So its very special!!! It looks brand new as if it just came out of the box so we have to be VERY careful with it!

Colin was excited to get a motorcycle toy from Aunt Carmie! Thanks for always thinking of the kids Aunt Carmie. We love you!

Grandma read the kids some books because they were wired and we wanted them to calm down for bedtime!

Miss Nicole times the kids and makes them stay on the wall for 30 sec. We are working on getting a FULL 30 seconds without a break in between.....I wont mention any names Kaitlyn:) Anytime something is hard Kaitlyn is so silly and says she is done or asks when class will be over.

Swim Play Date

Monday we went with our friends Stacy and Morgan to their health club so we could swim. It was our second time going and we had SO much fun! I brought my old camera since it would be near water but it was taking blurry pics for some reason. Here are the 3 kiddos heading off to the slide...holding hands...so cute! The lifeguard was really nice and allowing the kids to go down on their belly's since they were the only kids there. K & C held hands every time they went down:)

Then the wrestling started....Kaitlyn was trying to tackle Colin in the water....Can you tell Colin isn't so sure he liked that game?!?!

She got him and then sat on top of him...goof ball!!

Thanks so much Stacy and Morgan for inviting us again! We had a blast!!

5K Run

We are SO proud of Cam for running a 5K last Sunday. He was bummed because it was on wet grass and there were alot of hills. He wasn't expecting that! He ran the whole thing despite it not being ideal running circumstances and placed so he got a medal. Way 2 Go Cam!! Here he is running past us when we arrived to cheer him on. The 4 Amigos enjoyed french toast sticks from BK while they waited for their Daddys to cross the finish line.

Yeah!!! They had a good time!
