Christmas Morning at Home

The kids were so cute and ran in our room yelling "Merry Christmas"! We thought the first words out of their mouths would be can we open presets? :) Here they are coming to see if Santa came!

Presents are the best medicine. K definitely wasn't feeling good and was weak but she would perk up throughout the day and then crash. We were just happy we didn't have to cancel Christmas too and could spend it with our family!

Excitement is an understatement for K's reaction to opening her first Zhu Zhu pet!!!

Colin wanted a jr basketball so he could play with Daddy!

The kids got real golf clubs too! K's are pink and Colin's are blue. We will wait til Spring to try them out but have to stress safety so nobody gets hurt!!

Giving Daddy his presents:)

Colin loves Bakugan's!!!

Kaitlyn is so excited to show off her new rhinestone leotard at dance class next week!

Days Leading up to Christmas

We were able to get together Wednesday night with the Harvey's so the kids could exchange gifts. Thanks for a yummy dinner and all of the presents!!

We bought Madi and Makenna matching shirts on Etsy. I bought them for K & C too. Aren't they too cute?!?! They are really nicely embroidered! The only thing I was disappointed with was the fabric was a polka dot and the dots were too big so you cant really tell that its a polka dot fabric....but they are still super cute:) Cant wait for them to all wear their shirts!!

Colin and Madi had a big ka-boom! He was showing me his "feel sorry for me" serious face!

Then Kaitlyn had to show me her sad face....with remnants of chocolate from dessert on her chin and cheek:) Little did we know she would be vomiting about an hour later:(

Kaitlyn caught Colins flu like virus. She vomited for 9 hours straight! She was so sick!! We took her to the dr Christmas Eve morning and she took one look at K and said she needed to go to the hospital for iv fluids. But once she examined her she said her mucous membranes weren't as dry as she expected based on how she looked. Luckily we avoided a trip to the ER!! Here is Cam trying to get Pedialyte in her...since she only drinks milk and water she REFUSES any flavored drinks....makes it hard when the kids get sick and dont want anything except water!

She was so weak from all of the vomiting!!

Colin was still recouping and catching up on sleep too. Cam found him(we thought he was in his room napping) under the desk in the loft out cold napping:)

Elfie brought the kids Christmas pjs to wear...they were really from grandma who wants to add this tradition every year:). They were SO excited that Santa sent Elfie back from the North Pole with presents. They were outside of their doors when they woke up in the morning:) Unfortunately they were too small and I had to exchange them for larger sizes and they were out of pink and blue.

The kids went to bed early Christmas Eve night. We were supposed to host Christmas Eve so we were sad that K was sick and had to cancel. It turned out to be a quiet evening at home which was nice! Santa sure did come....K & C must have been on the nice list!!

The kids frosted vanilla wafer cookies and added sprinkles to them. Of course they wanted to leave 9 carrots for each of the reindeer! They love using their special Cookies 4 Santa plate that Grandma Willis made for them!!! They enjoy taking it out every year and thinking of grandma!

Lunch With Santa

Last week we went to have lunch with Santa! The kids had a great time! Cam kept saying to me that they have seen Santa about 6 times this year and everyone looked SO different....we were surprised they didn't question anything!!!Working on their craft.

Here comes Santa....K was shaking his hand.
So was Colin!

Reading their letters to Santa:)

Thanks Santa!

Auntie Kristina, Madi and Makenna working on their craft!

Sitting so nicely listening to a story!

Mrs. Marian reading us a book:)

Singing and shaking our Jingle Bells with Santa!!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Kelly, Kaitlyn and myself had a girls morning on Wednesday. Quintin gave me a gift certificate for an early Christmas gift so we decided to go get mani/pedis. Kaitlyn was super excited to come with and get her nails done too. I love that she is my girlie girl:)

Telling secrets....Auntie Kelly and Kaitlyn were discussing what to get for breakfast. Between a 4 yr old and prego lady...they came up with Dunkin Donuts:) Kaitlyn was whispering something about donuts I think!

We went shopping after we picked up breakfast! Thanks for my mani/pedi Kel and a fun morning!

Winter Wonderland

Between Madi being sick and Colin too we had to reschedule our annual Willis/Harvey Christmas twice. Cam, myself and Colin were still feeling not 100% so we decided just do the light show. Every year we decided we would go to Portillos and have dinner, do presents and then put the kids in their pjs and drive thru the Winter Wonderland light show. Its so much fun! Cam and I have been driving through it for the last 13 years. Its fun to start the tradition with our family and friends. But this year we decided since we didnt want to spread any germs we would picnic dinner in our own cars and then drive thru the show. The kids were bummed that we didnt get to do our annual Portillos dinner but they were still so excited to see the light show!!

Nothing like a picnic dinner in the back of a Yukon:)

We had the 3rd row seats out of my truck and the kids were waving at the Harvey's in their car:)

The 12 days of Christmas!!

Kaitlyn and Colin said this looked like Papa's farm:)

The kids love sitting on Daddy's lap...don't worry the car is going so slow its barely moving while you go thru the show:)

Santa's Workshop!

Looking thru the sun roof at the lights!

As you go thru the show you have to find all of the snowmen.....this year their were 19...we missed one:( It was a fun night even though we weren't all feeling well!

Best Buddies 4th Birthday Party

On the way home from our Willis Christmas we went to Madi's 4th birthday party! We had no idea that Colin was getting sick and felt so bad for him because he started vomiting AT the party and he was very embarrassed:( Poor Colin and poor Madi for having a puker at her party:) Here's mommy and Colin riding on the carousal....the fast spinning probably didn't help his tummy...this is before he got sick.

Colin didnt eat which I knew was not like him!!

All of the kids having a great time!! Colin got sick right after these pics were taken:(
K, M & M!

Santa even came to visit!

Kaitlyn loved the carousal!!

Happy 4th Birthday Madi-Cakes!! We love you!

Thanks Kristina for sending me the pictures. Cam and I obviously left the party immediately and drove an hour home with Colin who was still getting sick in the car. It was so sad! Kristina and Brandon offered for Kaitlyn to stay at the party. Thanks for taking good care of her and driving her home. She had a great time!!
