Starved Rock Vacation

Last weekend we went to Starved Rock for a mini vacation with the Willis side. I know I always say this but we wish we lived closer as we all have SO much fun together!!! The cousins play so well and us adults always have many laughs:) Kaitlyn did say when we were there "mommy, its not fair that I am the only girl this weekend". She is the princess...being the only girl on both sides of the family! This is a HUGE post! Too many pictures to choose from so here goes.....

Everett, Kaitlyn and Colin were ready to head to the water park as soon as we arrived!!

We stayed at Grizzly Jacks Resort and had our own vacation villa. Lots of room for the kids to run around and play! Jay was sharing his toys with the little ones.

Reid and Jay were taking K & C on it because mommy's stomach was not feeling good from all of the spinning and daddy doesn't do spinning rides!

After a tiring night at the amusement park we walked back to our villa. Papa was nice enough to give Colin a ride:)

Mommy and Daddy went to the resorts work out room and enjoyed a good work out. Then they met up with us to see the Duck Race. All of the kids had a duck with a number on it. They were dumped into the lazy river and off they went. K, C & E followed them all the way to the end to see who won. Everyone got prizes!

We all decided to go hiking at Starved Rock Park. I think I will still sweating from my work out but thought a 2nd work out wouldn't kill me! Here's Auntie Jill (aka our map girl) and Kaitlyn heading down the trail to the water falls!

Uncle Craig was holding on tight to K & C....to the left of Colin was a HUGE cliff...the kids did really well listening and holding hands!

Daddy was holding Ike. You cant bring a stroller hiking because of all of the stairs so we passed him around. Ike was such a good sport during our hike!

Kaitlyn's legs were getting tired so she got a ride from Uncle Craig. She said to me "all this exercise is hurting my legs mommy".

We made it to the top at Starved Rock! Do we look sweaty....WE WERE!!!! They said it would take about an hour but it took much longer!

We had a yummy lunch outside at Starved Rock after hiking...we were up high! We were all pooped!

We went back and the kids took naps....this picture was too funny that I had to post it. I might be in trouble some day for doing it:) Colin woke up from his nap and came downstairs....but he laid on the stairs and fell back asleep. That hike really did wear them out!

Pics From Our Week

We had a fun week! We spent alot of our time in the water when we were outside....sometimes in our swim suits and other times in our clothes:) Our cousin Quintin came over to play in the sprinkler this week. Here we are running around getting soaked!

Our friend Abby and her mom came over for a play date too. We were so happy to have them over!

The kids were playing hide and seek....Where's Kaitlyn???? I think I see a leg under there!

Sunday night the kids had water balloon fights in their clothes. Once again we got soaked in our clothes tonight! One of the neighbor kids got Cam with a water balloon. That started World War 3! He got out the hose and was soaking the kids.

He ended up getting soaked too!!

Kaitlyn and Colin were playing outside in brand new shirts. Bad decision on my part!! Here they are soaking themselves.

They were getting their behinds wet and then "stamping" the driveway.

And "stamping" the sidewalk with their bodies. They were SOAKED!!! Sorry these are dark..it was getting late!

They were so wet and it was getting dark out so we came in. They had to strip down at the back door because they were dripping wet and head straight to the shower.
