Sending out Thanks:)

We wanted to say thanks again to our Aunts, Uncles and Cousins for the great Easter gifts!
It was so nice of you to think of us on Easter! Here we are playing with some of our new stuff!
We love our new animals Auntie Jill, Uncle Craig, Reid & Jay! Also, we cant wait to wear our matching Polo shirts! You know how much we love matching clothes:)

Thanks Auntie Jolene, Uncle Chad and Everett for our magnet fireman and doll sets....we brought them on the train ride to the Choo Choo restaurant last week!
They are so much fun to play with!

We cant wait for the warm weather so we can garden Aunt Shari, Uncle Jim, "CoCo" and "DiDi". We will wear our matching t-shirts when we garden too!

Choo Choo Restaurant

Yesterday we saw Kaitlyn's plastic surgeon and we found out that she will need to have another surgery or more to continue to reconstruct her lip. It was an emotional day for us. We look at her her beautiful, innocent face and it breaks our hearts to know that she will have to go through this. We go see a plastic surgeon in Chicago tomorrow who specializes in the nostril/lip area to see what he has to say about the next step. So to get our minds off of things we decided to take the kids on their first train ride to Des Plaines and go to the Choo Choo Restaurant for lunch. They had SO much fun!!! We enjoyed the time as a family and Kaitlyn and Colin cant wait to ride the train again they said:) Daddy was holding on tight so the train didn't blow them away!
Time to board!
We couldn't believe how crowded this place was! It was a beautiful day and its Spring Break but still.....the line was out the door!
Its an old restaurant and if you sit at the counter this train comes around and delivers your food to you. The kids thought that was really neat!
They were more interested in all of the people waiting in line outside once we finally got in and sat down.

Colin was looking right past Daddy at someone getting their food delivered by the train.

Kaitlyn & Mommy
Back on the train and heading home. They were looking for people to wave to.
Found some...."Hi People"
"Bye People"

Easter 2008

We went and visited Grandma and Papa Willis' house for Easter this year. It was nice to see our Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and cousins!! We had so much fun playing with our cousins Reid, Jay and Everett!
Here was our family picture at Grandmas house.
3 out of 4 smiling isn't bad! Everyone was trying to make funny faces and still couldn't get Colin to smile:) Holding hands:)
Waiting with Grandma for the Easter Egg Hunt to begin. It was a huge Easter Egg Hunt!!
We ran fast and got lots of eggs filled with treats!
They even had fire trucks at the Egg Hunt and Daddy knew one of the firemen so I got to sit in the fire truck. It was really neat!
Papa was reading to us and our cousin Everett. He was running out of room on his lap!
Big smiles from Colin:)
Kaitlyn was making sure that the light switch worked...on and off, on and off, on and off.
Our cousin Reid played alot with us! We were playing basketball here.
She shoots...she scores!
Ever play basketball with a soccer ball? :)
Kaitlyn and Jay were all smiles for the camera when they were playing with the barn:)

New "Puters"

We met Auntie KK and Quintin for lunch today to exchange Easter baskets. Kaitlyn and Colin got these cool Fisher Price "puters"(thats what they call them). They are really excited to bring them in the car on Friday when we go visit their Grandma and Papa Willis!
Here they are working on their ABC's. Colin was checking his email:)

Kaitlyn was checking our family blog:)

The Easter Bunny Came!

The Easter Bunny came one week early in our house! Kaitlyn and Colin were so excited to see that he actually came. When we asked them if they wanted to go downstairs and see if the bunny came and Kaitlyn said "no, not yet mommy". We think she thought the bunny was still downstairs:) Thats why she was a little slow as you can see how far behind she as in the 3rd picture:)
Colin couldn't believe he really did come!!!!
Kaitlyn took her time peeking around the corner and once she saw the bunny wasn't there she came running in!
Daddy and Colin opening his new baseball stand and it pitches to him too when he gets older. We wont put batteries in it til later because we are afraid he could shoot balls at people:)
Kaitlyn loves her Fisher Price Snap N Style dolls!
Thanks Rebecca for sending them from South Carolina so the "Easter Bunny" could give
them to Kaitlyn! They are so hard to find that I had to shop at an out of state Toys R Us:)

Setting up his cones...we mixed 2 sports:) Baseball and Soccer...oh well!

Dressing up more dolls!

Doing their new puzzles....hopefully these will help learn those ABC's and 123's!!!

Miss Bossy

Miss Kaitlyn was being a little bossy today when they were waiting for Grandma and Papa Young to stop by with their friends on their way to dinner tonight. Here they are at the front door watching for them to pull up in the driveway.
Kaitlyn insisted that they both watch out the front door. Then she kept telling Colin to "do this Colin" and she wanted him to say "Ta Da"
like they do in Gymnsatics when they finish something.

So poor Colin did it after being bossed around:)

After all that he said "I love you so much Kaitlyn" and gave her a hug.

This was too cute not to post!

Easter Egg Hunt

Today we went to an Easter Egg Hunt in Prairie Grove.
The kids had a blast!
They were so excited so they wore their bunny ears at breakfast in celebration of the egg hunt.

Getting ready to go!
Walking up to the egg hunt Kaitlyn spotted the Easter Bunny...oh no!!! We did not know that he would be there especially after how terrified Kaitlyn was of him at the mall 2 days earlier!!
Colin was starring at the bunny and Kaitlyn was attempting to smile for Daddy but looking past him at the Easter Bunny and hoping that he would not come near her.
Then the bunny came over and they did really well...they did not want to stand with him for a picture but they did want to reach in his basket for a treat:)
And they're off...........
