Like the new look of our blog?

We decided to change our blog background. I asked the kids what their thoughts were on the new black and white polka dot background and it was so funny to hear what they said. When I asked Colin if he liked our new blog he quickly said "UM, NO!". So then I asked Kaitlyn and she said "I love the pok-la dots". I guess I cant please everyone:) We ordered some new Lands End swimsuits and they came in the mail today. Of course they are matching. Kaitlyn's has white polka dots on it but you cant see in this pic. They were very excited to try them on!! Hopefully we will get to use them this weekend at the hotel when the Willis Aunts, Uncles and cousins come to visit! We cant wait!!! This was a pic that I took this week. Grandma & Papa Willis Visit

Last weekend we had a visit from Grandma and Papa Willis. We were so excited to have them come stay with us! Kaitlyn and Colin loved having special time with them! Grandma and Papa were such good sports and played with the kids all weekend long! Here they are with their "farm Grandma and Papa"!

Notice in the pics that Kaitlyn spent half of her weekend dressed as Tinkerbell and the other half as Minnie Mouse:) Grandma was drawing turkeys using the kids hands. Papa drew a great John Deere tractor so we hung it on the fridge.

Our favorite game is Caraboo. We played it alot with Grandma and Papa!!!

Papa and Colin were good sports and even played Kaitlyn's Tea Party game too.

The kids played hide and seek all weekend! Here they are counting while Grandma and Papa were finding good hiding places in the basement. Poor Grandma and Papa went up and down the basement stairs so many times playing hide and seek but the kids had a blast with them!! Thanks Grandma and Papa for a fun weekend!!!

Gymnastics Class

Kaitlyn and Colin absolutely LOVE gymnastics class. They are so excited that their best friend Madi is in their class too. In fact they are the only 3 kids in their class which is so much fun!! Miss Nicole is wonderful and has taught them so much! All 3 kids are growing and improving with every class! Here are a few pics and some short videos from last Thursday. We had our first bloody nose during class though. Kaitlyn and Colin ran smack into each other and Kaitlyn's nose starting flowing. She had a nice bump on the bridge of her nose to show for it. Here are the kids stretching. Notice Kaitlyn, she always looks back for reassurance that I am paying attention to her and not too busy talking to Auntie Kristina:) Doing their pike stretches. Look how flexible Colin is! He can touch his nose to his knees!!

Kaitlyn is doing well but working on trying not to stop when she jumps onto the trampoline so she can flip over faster.

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day!! Here are some pics from Friday and Saturday. Yesterday Kaitlyn and Colin were sitting in the loft playing. I had to snap a pic:) Notice what Kaitlyn has on AGAIN!!! She has added a tiara, dress up heels and clip on earrings to her daily Minnie dress up attire:) Colin had his police hat on but took if off for the picture. He wears his police hat and attire around the house alot too. I never knew two kids could love to dress up as much as mine do. We had to get a little clothes hanger for them to hang up all of their dress up clothes because they have so many now.
Saturday morning mommy had to take a few pics of them in their red shirts for Valentines Day. They wanted to do silly shots first so this is what they thought would be silly:)

We decided to go to a pottery place to make a plate with the kids hand prints on it. I have been wanting one for a long time! We made plates with the kids footprints on it for both grandmas awhile back and I have been waiting to make one for myself. We picked out a square platter.

We used a blow dryer to make sure the paint was all dry.

All Couped Up Again....

After a great afternoon spent outside yesterday we are couped up again in the house. What a teaser yesterdays weather was!! This morning Kaitlyn and Colin were cracking me up and being so silly! They wanted to stay cozy and wear their robes on this rainy day. Thanks Great Papa and Great Grandma Betty for our comfy robes...we love them! It was too quiet later in the morning.....hmmm I wondered what they were getting into?!?!? I went upstairs to find Kaitlyn's door closed and them inside her room. I opened the door and Kaitlyn's 1st words were "Mommy we are going to the ocean!!". Guess they are missing California, their great grandparents and the beach! I was crying I was laughing so hard at them! They were attempting to get their swimsuits on, had flip flops on their feet and their sunglasses all ready to go! Too funny!! I had to get some pics of them in their suits! They never cease to make me laugh with the goofy things they do:) Here Kaitlyn(the boss that she is) was showing Colin how to pose. She was telling him to put his hand on his side and stick his belly out:)

There you go, like that Colin:) Poor Colin listens to his sister obviously. I wasn't telling them anything to do I was just snapping pictures and laughing. They really love the camera and posing as you can see!

It has been a fun morning! One thing that Kaitlyn said that I couldn't believe was when I told her to go sit in time out for getting in trouble. She looked at my very seriously and said "Mommy, princess' don't go in time out". OH REALLY?? I had to compose myself and not laugh as she found out that princess' do sit in time out.....yes she served her 3 min:)

Scooting Around Outisde

Kaitlyn and Colin were thrilled to be able to play outside yesterday! It was so beautiful outside! They couldn't wait to try out their new scooters from Auntie Jill and Uncle Craig. Mommy and Daddy were sick of them riding them around the kitchen table all winter:) Here they are trying them out and racing across the sidewalk! Some of my pics are blurry because they were zooming by me....here comes Colin.

They were so excited to scoot up to the bus stop to see their friends get off of the bus! Colin was yelling back to Kaitlyn to hurry as the bus was there!!!

The sidewalk chalk already came out....Spring is right around the corner!! Katie was sharing her chalk with K & C.

Maddie(Katie's twin sister) and Colin. These too are so cute...they hold hands and play together all of the time. They were both covered in chalk!! K & C needed a shower when we came in as they had chalk all over their clothes, hands and face:) Kaitlyn woke up with a barky cough....hope the fun we had isn't going to be spoiled by her getting sick!!!

Disney on Ice

Sunday we went to Disney on Ice at the United Center. Thanks to Cindi for getting the skybox and the Harvey's for inviting us!!!! It was Tinkerbell and Cars which is K & C's favorite!! By far this was the best Disney on Ice that we have seen! Here are some of the kids waiting for the show to start.

After Cars was The Lion King and Finding Nemo. Kaitlyn waited so patiently for the Tinkerbell part which was last. Here is Tinkerbell flying over the ice.

We attempted a group shot of all of the kids....can we say sugar high..nobody would stand still:) We had a great time and are so spoiled that we have been there 6 times in the skybox...thanks guys for always including us!!!!

Kaitlyn's Bling Bling!

Kaitlyn and I are 2 lucky girls! Cam bought us each a pair of diamond earrings when I delivered K & C. I always wear mine but Kaitlyn hasn't been allowed to up to this point for fear of her loosing them. Her ears are so sensitive and she is allergic to every earring we have put in her ear. We decided to send her earrings into our jeweler so he could put screw backings on them so we knew they would be secure. They came today and she was SO excited to wear them! They are beautiful! I wanted to take some pictures to send to our jeweler as he has been so wonderful to us! As usual Kaitlyn was in her Minnie dress up clothes this afternoon. I mean it when I say she wears the dress EVERYDAY!! All I asked was for her to smile for a picture and here are a few pics that I got out of her. Really shows her personality...she cracks us up!!!
