Let the Games Begin!!

This weekend was Opening Weekend for the kids softball and baseball teams! GO RED SOX & BLUE DOLPHINS!!! Kaitlyn was very excited when her team voted and chose her idea for the team name:) Kaitlyn and Madi at the opening ceremonies!
The mascot throwing out the first pitch!! Go Pigtail Leagues!!!
Colin, Reese and Braedon at their opening ceremonies!

Team Pic!

Here we are rushing from field to field. We bounced around all day between the 2 ceremonies which were at different fields and then Kaitlyns first game!

Colin was playing catch with Cam at Kaitlyns game:) He looks so cute in his "ready" position!

Taking a rest from watching Kaitlyns game and playing on my phone:)

Colin was so excited that we let him walk by himself to the park. We could see him but I still was a little nervous:)

Cam went over to get him from the park and they were racing back:)

Do you think Colin had fun....his shoes were FULL of sand!!!

Kaitlyn's game!! She hit the ball every time she was up to bat...no strike outs! WOO HOO Kaitlyn!! Here she is about to smack the ball!

SMACK!!!

Running to first! Her helmet is so big that she is like a bobble head. She has to run and hold onto the front. The girls on her team are between 5-8 years old so they have some big girls on her team.!!

Running to 3rd base....GO Kaitlyn!!!

Great job on your first game Blue Dolphins!!! We look forward to having lots of family and friends come to cheer the kids on!!

Here are some videos. This is Colin's team being announced during opening ceremonies!

Story Hour at School

Thursday night was story hour at school. The kids were so excited to go to school in their pjs:) Here they are with Miss Maureen! Colin and Reese
Coco and Kaitlyn

Colin with both Ryan S & Ryan C:)

Miss Maureen read If You Give A Mouse A Cookie. The kids love that story!

After the story we worked on making our own version of the story. Kaitlyn was working very hard to write out her version!

Daddy was helping Colin finish his story.

Great job!

Easter At Grandma & Papa Youngs

We came home from church and went to Grandma and Papa Young's house. The kids looked so cute in their fancy clothes as they call it:)

Sitting by the fire in Grandma and Papas kitchen:)

We were excited to spend Easter with Great Auntie Carmie too:)

Papa & Kaitlyn snuggling:)

The 4 grandkids!

Uncle Bill and Auntie Lauren explaining the big egg hunt that they put together for the kids! They did a great job hiding all of the eggs filled with clues. Kaitlyn was pink and Colin was blue. They had to go to the room that their clue was for and could only find their color egg.

Kaitlyn thought it was SO funny that an egg was in the fireplace in Grandma & Papa's bedroom:)

Grandma was helping Kaitlyn read her clues inside of her egg for what room she had to go to next!

Colin looking for his blue egg!

At the end of the egg hunt Colin found a huge blue egg. He was excited for his movie Megamind that was inside and other goodies. Mommy was excited about the check to go buy Spring clothes:)

Kaitlyn was excited to find her big pink egg with goodies and the movie Tangled inside. Mommy cant wait to go shopping for new clothes for the kids which are much needed!!!

After the fun egg hunt the kids went outside to ride their bikes. Grandma and Papa have the perfect long, FLAT driveway(our driveway is a downhill slope which stinks for riding bikes). The kids were excited to even be able to ride their bikes in the street too. Grandma and Papa live at the end of a dead end street so they had plenty of room to break in their new bikes!

We also celebrated "Auntie" Laurens birthday. Can you tell the kids were in between clothes, dressing up and pjs:) We had such a wonderful day!!!

Easter Morning

We had a nice quiet Easter morning at home as a family. The Easter bunny came and the kids were excited. Then we went to church before heading to my parents house.

The bunny left a cotton trail to the basement......

hmmmm....wonder what was in the basement???

Bikes!!! (We know this looks like an awful big Easter gift. We absolutely stress the true meaning of Easter. The kids needed to move up to larger bikes so we splurged this year for them.)

I think we were the only people up at 6:30am that morning. The kids were outside riding their bikes before 7am:)
