Kaitlyn's Dance Recital

We had such a wonderful weekend!!! Kaitlyn had her first dance recital. It was a tap routine to the song The Good Ship Lollipop. Friday night was the dress rehearsal and Saturday was the recital. Kaitlyn did SO well and we could not have been more proud of her!! She also looked unbelievably adorable in her costume:) She loves to "be fancy" so this was right up her alley having her hair and makeup done!! Here is one of our favorite closeup pics of her...so sweet!!

Pics from Kels House

When I am at Kels house babysitting I like to use her camera:) She sent me some of the pics I took with her camera. Here are my 2 cuties hanging outside in Kels backyard last week:)

These are from yesterday of Zachary....

My heart just breaks for Kel and Randy. Zachary hasnt made things easy for them the last 8 weeks:( But when I look at his adorable face how can you get upset with that:) Yesterday he sat up in the bumbo seat...obviously with a lot of assistance.

Have you ever seen hair on a baby like this:) Too cute!!! I could just eat him up!!

Balloon Chasers:)

This post is out of order. Sunday night on the way home from the Jerseys fundraiser and we saw a hot air balloon landing. I took this pick hanging out the car window...would have been so pretty had the power lines not been in the way:)
We pulled over and got out of the car to watch it! It was so neat! The kids were so excited to be so close!

Watching it land....but then it went back up again....so we ran to the car and yes started chasing the balloon along with about 10 other cars:)

It finally landed and we wacthed the whole thing deflate. I could pretty much put together a flip book of pics while it was deflating but I wont bore you:)

It was pretty dark out by this point! This was a first for all 4 of us being that close to a hot air balloon and watching it land and deflate. Pretty neat!!

Last Dance Class

Monday night was Kaitlyn's last dance class. She brought home Grandma's Hello Kitty dress up outfit and I said she could wear it to her class. She was thrilled!! Here she is ready to go!
Doing her dance moves:)

We are so excited to see her recital this weekend!! Tonight is the dress rehearsal and tomorrow is the recital! She is so excited to have all of her family coming especially Grandma and Papa Willis who are going to be in town this weekend!! Thanks to them to making the trip this weekend to see K dance!!

Jerseys Fundraiser

Sunday we had our March of Dimes fundraiser at Jerseys in Hoffman Estates. Kristina and Brandon are friends with the owner. Ironically both of their kids were in the NICU and thats how they met. Gregg and Paige were SO very generous and donated all of the food money back to our team and we were able to raise $2,127!!! It was a huge success and everyone was so generous for this great cause! Here is Kristina and I:)
Family Pic!
No we did not plan to match....its almost scary how much Kristina and I think alike:) The moms and their girlies!! Kristina is holding Makenna...she is who we names our team after: Mak-Ing and Difference 1 Step at a Time!

The 3 Amigos

Having fun and waiting to eat some yummy pizza!!

Thanks Grandma and papa for coming to support our team!!! And congrats on being the big silent auction winners of the night:)

Colin and his friend Jake

Kaitlyn guarded this Lia Sophia girls butterfly necklace in the silent auction. Grandma bid on it for her....but when someone came and wrote their name and outbid my mom tears filled in K's eyes....the very sweet lady scratched her name off and said she couldn't disappoint Kaitlyn. How sweet but I told her not to do that!!! Kaitlyn ended up winning the adorable necklace and was very happy. Grandma took Colin to Toys R Us the next day to be fair:) We had a great time and it was a huge success!! If you ever are in the Hoffman Estates area check out Jerseys...they have the best pizza!!! Our walk is this Sunday at 9am. Its a 6.2 mile walk thru downtown Chicago...they are forecasting rain so please pray that its not stormy!! The walk goes on rain or shine!

Sleepover

Saturday Cam and I had a golf outing fundraiser to go to for our neighbors daughter and her traveling softball team. Thanks to Tom and Beth for treating us to a day of golf, dinner and LOTS of fun!!! We even won a raffle prize....free bread for a year at Panera Bread! Carbs...yum!!! And thanks to my parents for babysitting! Here are some pics that my mom sent of the kids sleepover. My mom made Kaitlyn some new Swarovski flip flops for summer....this picture doesn't do the shoes justice....they sparkle so much!!! Now she should be set with pink, brown , black and white shoes:)

Grandma and Papa took the kids out for dinner, shopping for Spring jackets and to Hobby Lobby to pick out a craft. Here is my brothers girlfriend, Lauren, helping Kaitlyn paint her Hello Kitty bank:)

Kaitlyn did this pretty much on her own and is very proud!! Lauren helped her with the face:)

Papa and Colin working on his race cars!

They decorated them with stickers and decided not to paint them. They go super fast!!

This is the kids secret hiding place. My parents pantry is a huge "L" shape. When you open the door the light automatically goes on....but it you go in and shut the door the light goes out...grandma has a night light in there for when that happens...the kids think its a great hide out place! Plus they know where she keeps all of the fruit snacks in there too:)

Kaitlyn in her Hello Kitty dress up outfit and fancy shoes:) The kids had a great time and Cam and I enjoyed sleeping in the next morning!
