Private Swim Lessons

Kaitlyn & Colin finished up their private swim lessons on Friday. Their swim instructor
Mr. Cheyne is amazing and really pushed them to their fullest potential!!! The last few lessons they have been going into the deep pool. Its 6 feet deep and they have been going down to the bottom of the pool to pick up rings. They are ring ROCKSTARS!!! But Friday in addition to the rings their teacher added weighted Easter eggs and also small stones. When I say small I mean they were stored in a Walgreens pill container and he dumped them into the pool and said to go get them:) I really didn't think they could do it but they did!!
Here are some pics from my cell phone. Cam and I are so proud of our little fishies!!
Colin swimming to the bottom of the 6ft pool!
Kaitlyn swimming down 6 ft!

They tried to come up with as many in their hand as possible! It was like a competition to them:) We cant wait for you to show off your swimming skills this summer!!
Watch out Reid and Jay...they are excited to try and keep up with you guys in your pool this summer:)

Dice Game!

My kids LOVE this dice game that I made up for them to play. Its the teacher in me:) Of course they have Math Binders so they can bring them along when we go places! If you want a copy just let me know and I can email the sheets you. They can play a 2(digit) dice or 3(digit) dice addition game. They roll the dice and write the numbers in the boxes and add them up. By using dice they can count the dots to help them if they need it. I also put the numbers at the top pf the page so they can check to make sure they don't write anything backwards. In the right column I give a star for the right answer and a question mark for them to go back and check their work. They think they are SO cool and playing a game but I love that its educational:) Here's what it looks like when they do it. I started circling of they put a number backwards. They seem to be doing that with certain numbers. If you look at the page on the right the first one looks like 2+2 but because they were backwards it was really 6+6 and so I had to explain that it makes a big deal with your answer when you use interchange a 2 and 6:)

My Healthy Eaters!

Here are my little chefs! Cam and I could not be more proud of the healthy eaters that Kaitlyn and Colin are! I know I have posted about it before but I just cant stress the importance Cam and I feel of exposing our kids to all kinds of foods! To this day I am an extremely picky eater and I dont want the kids to grow up that way. Helping mommy make homemade Paleo red sauce with meat!

We use this yummy red sauce with meat and pour it over spaghetti squash. The kids absolutely love it!!! The squash shreds like angel hair pasta and its oh so yummy!!!

Dinner last night....my big salad eaters!!! They had a spring mix salad with their favorite toppings: cucumbers, red peppers, hard boiled eggs and of course they love crunchy tortilla strips and ranch dressing:) Then sauteed asparagus and chicken breast and strawberries too. It was DE-lish!!!! Thumbs up for my healthy eaters!!!
