Mothers Day Tea

Last Thursday was the kids Mothers Day Tea at school. It was adorable!! I was so excited to get to spend special time with my amazing kids!! Love you both and thanks for a memorable morning!! I love this pic of the two kids(even though it looks like Kaitlyn has one leg:)). No I didn't tell Kaitlyn to put her hand on her hip or Colin to put his hand in his pocket...they are becoming naturals:) Aren't they just too cute?!?!

Its hard to see in this pic but the table was set so cute!!! We had adorable placements that the kids put their hand prints on, homemade flowers, beautiful porcelain tea cups and tea pots and yummy treats! We were supposed to bring a fancy hat for the tea and I forgot mine:(

Kristina, myself and our kiddos were able to have our own private table:)

Awww...so sweet!

Colin loves this climbing dome!! He said he feels like Spiderman!!

Kaitlyn and her friend Madilyn going down the slide together:)

Colin was playing ball with the boys....and then theres Kaitlyn our girlie girl playing with the boys:)

Here are 2 videos of the kids singing. I had about 6 video clips so it was hard to choose..they were all so cute:)

A Ride in Papa's Batmobile!

Tonight Grandma and Papa Young came over for dinner. Cam and I went running and when we came around the corner my parents were already at our house. The kids were so excited to see Papas new corvette in the driveway:) They asked for a ride. Here are some pics from their ride around the block. Theres Colin waving before his Batmobile ride:)
Kaitlyn was literally air born in this pic...jumping with excitement when she saw Colin coming back and she knew it was her turn.

Then she got in and was nervous....we always say how fast Papas car is and she thought he would go fast. But Papa is a responsible driver so he didn't speed through the neighborhood:) Have a fun ride Kaitlyn!

And they're off......

Video of Colin taking off with Papa!

Playing in the Mud!

Sunday night the neighbors were hanging out at our house.....while the adults were chit chatting the kids decided to play in the dirt. Their were two sets of twins....our kids and the neighbor girls who are twins. They had fun but oh boy was it hard to get the mud out from under their nails.
Madi & Kaitlyn
Yikes!!

Kaitlyn & Katie
They have the same name...they are both Kaitlyn Marie's...these two are so similar its scary:) Must be in the name!

Colin decided to join in but he doesn't like to get dirty...notice how clean he stayed:) Then there was Kaitlyn who was picking up worms...eeewww!! Aren't these two sets of twins so cute:)

Boys & Bows:)

Saturday night Colin came downstairs with K's bow in his hair. He thought he was HILARIOUS!!! Hes such a pretty boy isn't he?!?! :)
We laughed so hard....look at Colin giggling:)

Then they both started laughing so hard....I love listening to their belly laughs!!!

Kaitlyn couldn't stop laughing:) Colin had enough and ripped the bow out. My silly kids!!

Story/PJ Night at School

Last Thursday the kids had Story/PJ Night at school. They were so excited to wear their new pj's! They picked them out. Colin loves baseball and the Cubs and Kaitlyn wanted these since she remembered buying matching ones for her friends Bella & Brynn for their birthday:) Miss Maureen is such a wonderful teacher! The kids love her!
We thought the parents were supposed to come in pjs too so we wore comfy clothes...nobody else really dressed in pjs. Oh well! Daddy helping Colin with his It Looked Like Spilt Milk project.

It Looked Like....Colin!!

Mommy helping Kaitlyn.

It looked like....a flower!

Then the kids read their own version of It Looked Like Spilt Milk.

The girls enjoying some cookies and milk:)

Colin and his good friend Braedon:)

Miss Maureen with K & C! We had a great time!!

Neighborhood Visitors

A week ago my neighbor called me around 8am to tell me to look out the window because there were some deer in her front yard. I joked with her that she better not be teasing me after my other neighbor got me really good with a deer joke on April fools that I embarrassingly fell for. But it was no joke....we had some neighborhood visitors:) The kids were in amazement of the deer!!

March of Dimes Walk in Chicago

We did the March of Dimes walk in Chicago on April 23rd. We walked in honor of our best friends daughter Makenna who was born 8 weeks premature. Cam, K, C and I were able to raise almost $900.00 and our Mak-Ing a Difference 1 Step at a Time team was able to raise almost $6,000!! Thanks SO much to those family and friends who helped our cause by making a donation...we truly appreciate it!!
Kaitlyn and Colin were all cozy in the jogging stroller....we were up before 6am and heading to the city. It was an early morning...especially after having Kaitlyn's dance recital the night before.
Family Pic before the race!

This was our team who walked in honor of Makenna!

At the starting point.

Family pic with sweet little Makenna:)

The clouds started rolling in right when the walk started!!!

Then the rain started....it POURED on us!!!! But we all continued to smile, laugh and have fun because we knew it was for a good cause!

Cam was teasing the kids and getting close to the water....silly daddy! Doesn't it just look rainy and icky out?!?!

Yeah!! K & C were doing a dance in the rain...they survived 3 1/2 hours in the jogging stroller and we are so proud of how well they behaved!!! The race was really slow because of the weather! If you do the math its pretty sad.....3 1/2 hours to complete 6.2 miles:) But on Michigan Ave the didnt close off the street so we had to stop at every block for stop lights.

Kaitlyn, Madi and Colin!

At the finish line...we were soaked!!! :)

Ready to go back to the car....how many daddy's does it take to control 3 kids who have been in jogging strollers for over 3 hours:)

What a great day we had! We were all so tired I think the 4 of us were asleep at 7pm that night:)

Here are 2 videos....one of the kids doing a dance at the finish line...mainly because they were SO happy to be out of the joggers:)

The starting line of the race!
