National Night Out

Last week we went to National Night Out in Grandma and Papa's town. We went last year and the kids really enjoyed it. The Flight For Life helicopter was supposed to land but unfortunately they were not able to. The kids were really looking forward to seeing the helicopter:( Grandma and her grandkiddies!
The kids enjoyed checking out the emergency vehicles!

Colin and Quintin holding hands:)
The smallest fireman of the group:)

Uncle Randy and Kaitlyn

Maxx is Wauconda's police dog was there for the 2nd year. Daddy knows this dog very well since he comes to his school once a year for drug searches of lockers. Maxx is an AMAZING dog and trained so well! They had Maxx demo different things that he can do drug sniffing, search and rescue, etc. I was worried about Kaitlyn seeing the last demo of Maxx with a muzzle on and watching his full out attack another police officer who was playing a "bad guy". It was pretty scary!

This is literally 2 minutes after the demo was done she sat up on the squad car with Maxx. We were SHOCKED that Kaitlyn was so brave!!! As you all know K has a very extreme fear of dogs and animals so we were very proud of her!!

Colin sat with Maxx last year(K did not) so he was excited to sit with him again:)

My favorite fireman!

My princess:)
When we got home that night we were having so much fun with the camera. It was the kids idea to take pics of them jumping and then they would come look at the pic and laugh so hard:) Here they are getting lots of air! They were so silly!!

Carnival with the Neighbors

Sunday we went with some of our neighbors to a carnival. It was a fundraiser for the athletic department at our high school. Thanks to Tom for being very generous and treating all of the kids to wrist bands so they could go on as many rides as they wanted....and boy they did get their money worth....we were there for 3 1/2 hours! All 4 families left with belly aches from over doing it on the rides:) Then we came back for a BBQ at Tom and Beth's...thanks so much for a great day!!
It was so close that we decided to walk there. Look how cute the kids are holding hands. Colin always holds Maddies hand and Kaitlyn always holds Katies hand(her name is Kaitlyn Marie too but she goes by Katie:))
Having fun!!!

Rachel & Rose(excuse my foggy pic...it was SO humid out and I had my small camera).

This was hilarious! Rose and I went on this ride and the guy working thought it would be funny to spin us nonstop. Meanwhile the guys were laughing at us so the carnival worker did it some more. I was SO sick and didnt go on any rides after that. Here are Rose and Rachel cracking up because they are getting spun non stop now too.

Cam decided he would tray EVERY scary/dangerous ride they had there. What he didnt think is how sick he would get that he almost vomited! He was SO sick by the time we left that he realized he is too old to go on those types of rides he said:) Those are his legs hanging upside down and he is being spun.

Yep, Cams hanging upside down stopped on this ride....no thanks!!!

I am not joking when I say my kids went on this ride about 25 times. The place was not crowded at all so they would just stay on the ride because there were no lines.

Past Pictures

Here are some pics from the past of Aubrey and Sydney. See the post below about Aubrey's visit. These girls meant so much to me and were like my own! Here they are standing up in our wedding:)
My girls!!!! :) As you can tell I was camera crazy just like I am now:)

Of course we always had matching toe nails during the summers:) Miss you girls!

The Boys Sleepover

Saturday night Quintin and Zachary slept over because Kel & Randy had a wedding to go to. The kids had so much fun and considering we had 4 kids here things went pretty smoothly! Play-Doh is a lifesaver!! :)

Cam AKA The Baby Whisperer playing with Zachary. I LOVE seeing him with babies!! Makes me remember how amazing he was with Kaitlyn and Colin when they were babies.

Zachary showing Uncle Cam how he is starting to crawl!

Aubrey's Visit

Last weekend we had a very special visitor! Our friend Aubrey flew in to stay with us for a few days. I was her and her sister's nanny starting when Aubrey was 2 1/2 yrs old and now she will be turning 17 in October so I feel really old!!:) Her sister Sydney just turned 14! Not only did I spend a TON of time with them but they lived across the street from our house so our families were very close friends! Both girls stood up in our wedding and were such a special part of my life! They moved to Boise when the girls were in 2nd and 4th grade and saying goodbye was so incredibly hard for us! Last time I saw them was at my baby shower so I was excited for Aubrey to meet Kaitlyn and Colin since she is now a nanny herself:) Aubrey is so wonderful with kids!! She read lots of stories to Kaitlyn, Colin and Quintin!

Have a BBQ:)

We went to a carnival Thursday night too! She was such a great help with all of the kiddos!

Friday we went to the LZ spray park! The kids loved it!

At the spray park is the beach so we took the kids down to the water and let them play around in the sand. K & C had so much fun and didn't want to leave!

Then we had a picnic lunch!

The kids played for a little bit on the huge playground! What a fun start to our day!!

Friday night we went to my parents so Aubrey could see the whole family! It was my dads birthday on Saturday so we celebrated Friday night. Here is the whole clan! I have to say congrats to my brothers girlfriend Lauren who got a job at the University of Chicago Hospital! We toasted that night as she found out that morning that she got the job! So it was a night full of celebrations!! The funny was how long it took me to figure out how to use my self timer on my camera for this pic:)

Happy Birthday Papa!!

Time to say goodbye to Aubs! :(

Thanks so much Aubrey for the cute Boise t-shirts!!

All 4 kids in their Boise shirts! We miss you already Aubs!! Come back and visit soon and bring Sydney too:)
