Visit to Grandma and Papa Willis' House

We went to visit Grandma and Papa Willis for the holiday weekend. We had so much fun!!! We are also excited that we will get to see them again this coming weekend when they visit us. Its Grandparents Day at the kids school and they are coming up for it!!! The kids went on their first tractor ride when we were there! Colin loved it!!

Here's video of Colin coming back from his tractor ride with Papa.

Kaitlyn was checking out the corn....she said it was very tall!!

Daddy was showing her the soybeans. She even tasted one...she didnt like it though:)

Grandma and Papa grow pumpkins. Kaitlyn was checking out their little pumpkin patch! Grandma and Papa also have a garden and sent us home with lots of yummy vegetables!!

Then Papa took Kaitlyn on a tractor ride!

Heres video of Kaitlyn on her tractor ride.

Colin didn't want to taste a soybean.

He was checking out the corn with Grandma.

The kids loved this teeter totter! It was made by their Great Grandpa Winbigler. How neat to be able to play on it!! It was their first time on a teeter totter!!

Poor Grandma....they had her get on one side and they sat on the other side together:)

Saturday night we went over to Auntie Jolene and Uncle Chads house. We were celebrating our cousin Everett's 3rd birthday. He has a John Deere gator and we LOVED driving it around. It was their first time driving one of these things!

Everett and Kaitlyn had fun riding together....E doesn't like to drive it but likes to sit in the passenger seat:)

Happy Birthday Everett! Thanks for a fun time!!

The kids were being silly wearing their birthday hats. Ike wasnt too sure if he wanted to wear one or not:)

Kaitlyn loved the boys stuffed snake!!

Colin and Kaitlyn sat so nice while E opened his presents. But as soon as he was done they wanted to touch everything and check it out. Here they are with his new Power Rangers!

The kids got cozy in their pj's and Grandma read them a story before we left.

We love our Grandma and Papa!! Thanks so much for a fun weekend and the new clothes! We are excited to wear them this Fall! We look forward to seeing you again this weekend!!

What Was In That Marinade?!?!

In between the kids being sick this week we had a dance night in our loft. I have no idea what was in the marinade that I put on the chicken because K & C were WIRED after dinner and showers:) They just LOVE to dance though!!! I cant say I have any idea where they get their dance moves from but they are not from me! They love when you sing the "Car Wash" song when they take a shower and you spray them with the shower hose like they are in a car wash. They giggle and laugh so hard!!! We downloaded the actual song since they sing it every time they are in the shower. They funny thing is they haven't ever heard the real song they just know it from Cam and I singing it. Here they are dancing away!!! I had to split the car wash dance video into 2 separate videos because it was too long!

The kids always take my ipod and try to listen to it. I am training for a 5K run and needed some good upbeat music to get me through the 3+ miles I will be running. I downloaded a ton of the "top" songs from itunes. This song was on there and Kaitlyn and Colin love it!! They are so silly!

With School Comes Germs:(

1 week into pre-school and we catch some germs!! Colin had a 102.3 fever Saturday morning and we ended up at the ER with him that afternoon. He ended up just having a yucky virus and was fine Monday. Sure enough after I picked the kids up from school on Tuesday Kaitlyn was running a high fever. She was fine today but had to miss school because she had a fever within the 24 hour window of school. She did better than I thought when we dropped Colin off this morning. Just a few tears and then she was excited about having mommy to herself:) She did miss Show & Tell which she was the most upset about. Colin brought in his Show & Tell and was very excited to tell us all about it when we picked him up!
This pic was taken when everyone was feeling well!! Go Bears!!!

Being Silly!!!

Colin was very excited to fill the "Show & Tell" basket from school. He chose his Lego car. He loves it because it came with tools and you can take the wheels off and stuff. We made a special trip to Woodfield Mall on a family date night this summer and this is what he chose to buy. He said he cant wait to do Show & Tell again!!

1st Week of Pre-School

Last week was the kids 1st week of pre-school at Little Angels which is part of St. Pats Church. Their theme this year is based on the movie The Incredibles. Basing the theme on all of the things that are incredible! The kids go on Tues and Thurs mornings from 8:45-11:15. I have been spending the time working out with my neighbor and doing stuff around the house. Let me tell you....2 1/2 hours goes by way too fast!! We fell in love with Little Angels pre-school last year when we went to observe and meet the teacher. She even let Kaitlyn and Colin come spend the morning with the 3 year old class. They were able to paint and participate with the class during circle time. Also their best friend Madi is in their class too which is a bonus:) Here they are the 1st day of school! (there are 25 pics...hard to choose...you only have your first day of school once:))

We wrapped up apples for Ms. Maureen and her assistant Ms. Debbie. Plus the kids wrote letters to both teachers. They were so excited to give them their apples and letters:)

Our handsome stud!

Our beautiful princess!

Cam went to work late so he could be there with me to take the kids on the first day. He wouldnt have missed it for anything!

We met up with Madi out front and the kids walked up to the school holding hands...TOO cute!!

Their friendship is so special!!

Walking into school. Notice Kaitlyn on the right...she was hiding her present behind her back so she could surprise her teacher:)

Colin gave Ms. Debbie her present!

Kaitlyn gave Ms. Maureen her present!

Ms. Maureen is their teacher. She is so nurturing and amazing with children!! You can tell she loves what she does and has fun doing it!! Kaitlyn and Colin just adore her!!

Finding their hooks for their backpacks. Ms. Maureen put Kaitlyn, Colin and Madi all next to each other! She knows how close they are already:)

Heading into their classroom!

The sign in the middle is from the Incredibles movie. Their theme is Jesus is "Incredible"!

Kaitlyn was hugging Daddy goodbye!

I was so proud and excited for my 2 kiddos that morning!!!

Waving goodbye as we walked out of their classroom. Do they look a little nervous?!?! They didnt cry or seem to care that we left. There were a few poor parents that had kids hanging on their legs crying...thankfully we didnt have that happen:)

We had a lunch play date after our first day of school with Madi and Makenna.

Auntie Kristina bought yummy cupcakes from a bakery for a treat. Colin chose blue!

You cant tell what color Kaitlyn chose since she ate all of the frosting and left the cupcake:) Thanks Auntie Kristina for the yummy treats!

The kids played while we cleaned up a major cupcake mess!

This was the 2nd day of pre-school. They were SOOOO excited to go back!!! Kaitlyn did mention that 2 girls asked about her lip. I asked her what they said and Kaitlyn told me she didnt want to talk about it:( That broke my heart!!

Showing off their backpacks. Grandma Young took them to pick them out. I am not a big fan of character stuff but they absolutely HAD to have these backpacks. My mom said I need to let go and let them chose what they wanted:) So I did and this is what they chose....Spiderman and Hello Kitty:)

Not only do the kids have school on Tues and Thursdays but we babysit my nephew Quintin in the afternoons at his house. Its GREAT! I love spending time with him and watching the 3 kids play...they get along so well! Its weird "working" for my sister though:)

Enjoying our last few days before school!

We have been enjoying a few low key days before school starts. Since Kaitlyn has had to start wearing hats again when she goes in the sun because of her surgery Colin likes to put them on too. Could he be any cuter?!?!
Kaitlyn blowing mommy a big kiss!!

They literally thought they were HILARIOUS by switching hats and switching their names! I don't know who was laughing harder..them at themselves or Cam and I at them!!!

Kaitlyn was carrying Colin's wallet and Colin was, yes, running around with a purse and Kaylee in a stroller.

Sunday night we saw 2 hot air balloons while we were eating dinner. The kids were SO excited! Kaitlyn was trying to talk to the people on the balloon. Colin was on the phone with Grandma and Papa Willis and telling them all about the hot air balloons:)

They were so pretty!!!

Today we had a picnic lunch out on the front porch since it was so sunny out. Because of Kaitlyn's surgery we need to stay in the shade. We enjoyed our last day home before pre-school starts tomorrow! Wow time flies!!! The kids are so excited for their big day tomorrow!!
