Florida- Day 2

What a GREAT first full day in Florida!! Saying that we are having an amazing time is an understatement! I dont want to come home...but isnt that how you are supposed to feel on vacation:) I am taking around 200 pictures a day and then I go back and erase some so choosing for the blog out of so many pics is a nightmare! Here is just a VERY small glimpse of our day....enjoy! This is the view from mine and Cams bedroom. We are staying in a beautiful home!!!

How neat is this....the first thing Kaitlyn said she wanted to do was meet Snow White. As soon as we walked into the park she was right there. It was perfect and Kaitlyn was on cloud 9!!!

A day of fun= two tired kids! Despite how tired they were I can honestly say we did not have 1 meltdown! Woo Hoo for Kaitlyn & Colin!!

1st Day in Florida!

We made it!!! I cant believe how smooth the morning went! The kids were BEYOND excited!! It was so much fun to see the excitement in their eyes that today was the day they have been waiting for such a long time! Here they are in their shirts we had done for them.

We were laughing so hard at this picture....we worried this was what was to become of our day. But I have to say that Q & Z were angels on the plane!

We all met at my parents house so the excursion limo could pick us up. All 12 of us fit...barely though because we had so much luggage! The kids thought this limo was SO cool!!

This was just some of our luggage....we were waiting for the guys to go pick up all of the rental cars. I was SO proud of the 4 kids for waiting patiently...they were tired and hot but were very well behaved!

Our home is in an amazing gated community on a golf course. The homes are gorgeous!! We did a quick Subway meal for dinner and then the girls went to grocery shop. Later the kids went to bed and the adults went in the pool. They heated the pool for us but it was heated way too much...it was 102 degrees in the pool!!! So our pool was like a huge hot tub! They came and fixed the temp for us so tomorrow it should even out. We used the self timer for this picture. Kel ran across the pool deck....jumped in and here we are:)

After an AWESOME time in the pool with so many laughs we came in the house to a

problem:( The fridge and freezer were broken and it was 11:15pm! We had to call the emergency number and transfer all of the food to another house for the night til they can bring in a new fridge. Here we are packing up the groceries to move them. The thing that was most upsetting to us was we had just spent $750.00 on groceries at the store tonight and we didnt want them to spoil. Plus we had 2 antibiotics for the kids that had to be refrigerated. The owner came and he drove all of the food to another house to store it for us. We have laughed more that you can imagine and so far we are having the time of our life! We cant wait to see what the rest of the week brings!! Our plan tomorrow is to spend the day at the Magic Kingdom!!

Art Contest

This summer the kids entered in an art contest at the library. They looked at this book on how to draw to help them since Cam and I were not allowed to help them draw at all! And I am being honest when I say we didn't draw a thing for them! I am proud of how hard they worked on these art projects!! We sat down as a family and Cam and I watched as they drew their little hearts out! I suggested they draw in marker and color in crayon since I think it looks nicer:)

Along with her award she won an art package. It had an art portfolio with crayons, markers, paint, oil pastels and more. She also received a drawing book and a "Design My Own Calendar"!

I have waited to post this til the library had her art work hanging up(top right). It took a few months but its now hanging in the children's section at our library. Those of you that are local can go check it out!! She was SO proud yesterday! Colin was very sweet and said to her that he was proud of her too!
