Halloween 2010!

The kids were excited to dress up for Halloween this year! They actually "shopped" in Grandma Young's dress up closet so we didnt have to go out and buy costumes. (I will confess that I did order costumes really early in the month and sure enough they didnt fit and were very cheaply made so we returned them). Kaitlyn was Cinderella and Colin was a red Power Ranger. You might notice in the next post that he is a Transformer. He switched between 2 costumes this year...and wouldn't wear the masks that went along with the costumes.

This house is super scary! These are the things I do NOT like about Halloween!

They make the kids go thru the haunted cemetery to get to the front door to get candy. Some of the people are real and some are statues but you cant tell until they start following you. Our family did NOT go up to this house and decided to skip!! Both of these mosters were real!!

The kids came in for pizza because it was getting too cold. We had a fun time and enjoy our annual trick or treating and after party with the neighbors!!

Annual Harvey Halloween Party

Last Saturday was the Harveys Annual Halloween Party! We always have SO much fun and love that Kristina loves to entertain:) We always do a stairs pic but the sun was so bright we have to move locations!

The 2 most beautiful Cinderellas! How is it that between their school party and this party that we didn't get one picture of Kaitlyn and Madi all dressed up in their tiara's?!?! The kids had a GREAT time! Thanks to the Harvey's for all of their work they did to put together this party!!!

Birthday Countdown!!

Kaitlyn and Colin are SUPER excited for their 5th birthday which is quickly approaching!! How can it be that Cam and I will have 5 year olds!!! The kids created "Wish Lists" at Toys R Us so their friends and family could see a list of things they like:) They had so much fun scanning away!

My mom made these last year for the kids. They look forward to waking up and changing their countdown calendars every morning....15 more days(at least it was 15 days when I took this pic the other day:))

Auntie Kelly, Q, Z and Grandma Young came over the other night for dinner since Cam was at work late. Grandma always shops after Halloween to get great deals on costumes for the dress up closet at her house. These are some of the new additions that she bought this week. Even Zachary played dress up:)

Colin said his muscles helped him scale the wall:) This is the new thing in our house. K & C's cousins Reid and Jay can do this and the kids have always been so impressed by them. Now they feel cool that they can climb up the doorway too:)

Today the kids had 2 friends over from school to play. This was a "makeup" play date since we had to cancel because Kaitlyn was sick and I had the flu:( The kids had so much fun and played so well!!

Reese brought over a Wii game for them to play! Colin loves playing the Wii and wants some new games for his birthday he said:)

No Naps!

This is too cute! Kaitlyn and Colin refused to nap the other day so I said they could pick a few books to read in their bed. They are both SO opposite! Colin was reading "in his head" and not making ANY noise. Kaitlyn was doing "dramatic reading" out loud and I was cracking up! I had to record the video monitor so you could see:) She watched this today for the first time and was belly laughing at herself:) K had a cold so she sounds really muffled on the video!
