Toy Story 3 on Ice

Last weekend we went to Toys Story 3 on Ice at the United Center! They kids were SO excited! The best part for the adults is that we are in a skybox and the kids have room to move around! Kaitlyn, Madi and Makenna decided to wear their matching Hello Kitty Vests and then their Twinkle Toes shoes:)

Competition!!

I have to confess that we are struggling in our house right now with the kids competing for EVERYTHING! Not sure if its a twin thing since they are the same age or what. They argue who gets to go first, etc. Even the kids swim instructor noticed it during their private lessons since its just the 2 of them. Racing across the pool to beat each other and who is a faster swimmer etc. I know its absolutely ridiculous but its a real issue Cam and I are dealing with right now and trying to nip in the bud asap! We do stress that life isnt fair and when we grab a handful of grapes each kid isnt going to get the same number and thats just how life goes but they still are having a hard time grasping it:(

So can you guess what I made??? Thats right....a Fairness Cup:)

I opened up 2 clothes pins and wrote a "C" on one and a "K" on the other. Whenever we have a dispute who gets to go first etc I pull a clip and thats the end of it.
But my kids are two smart for me...they are asking for best out of 3 now:)
Nobody ever tells you how hard parenting really is do they:)

Pre-School Gym Jam

Friday night we went to the Gym Jam at the kids school. I had my small camera so the picture quality is not very good! The kids were so excited to go since last year they missed it due to Kaitlyn having surgery that day. Cam and Colin got right out and started shooting hoops while we waited for it to start. Kaitlyn with her friends Madilyn and Kiara.

We had a live in patient for a few days last week. My mom had bilateral first metatarsophalangeal joint fusion(thats a mouth full:)) and her bunions done. She was such a trooper!! The kids LOVED having her here and she was a very good patient! Grandma bought Swarovski crystals to decorate Kaitlyn's mirror for her room. Who would have thought you could add $200 of crystals to a $30 mirror!!
Its pretty sparkly....but we all know thats right up Kaitlyn's alley:) We wheeled grandma to the table and they worked until they ran out of crystals!

This was hilarious. Saturday we went to Cams school to stop by the big wrestling tournament that they host every year. Kaitlyn is TERRIFIED of mascots. She was nervous when we went in the school that he would be there. To make her realize he wasnt there Cam took us to the storage room to show the kids the costume was in there. Colin picked up the head and started chasing Kaitlyn with it. We all laughed so hard! Kaitlyn didnt think it was as funny:(

Kaitlyn just loves this sweater.....only because its like my sweaters where I layer them. She kept telling me all day that she felt just like me:) Too cute!

Blizzard of 2011

Last week we were snowed in thanks to the Blizzard of 2011! The kids were SO excited to see all of the snow! Look at our fence! The snow was up to Colins waist:)

And Kaitlyns too:)

Some yahoo tried to come up our street on a snowmobile and got stuck! The snowmobile sank!

Thanks to our friend Mark who came on his 4 wheeler to help plow!!

Our streets were not plowed and so the fire dept had to walk a lady and her dog home from the main street because the firetruck and ambulance would have gotten stuck!

Poor Cam was trying to snow blow his way thru the street to get to the neighbors to help!

I love how all of the neighbors look out for each other! Cam, Dave, Tom and John were all snow blowing and helping an older neighbor clean off his driveway!

Thanks to Rose for taking my kids out to play. This was there 2nd time going outside. They first went out at 7:30am:)
