Mall Play Area

Tuesday we went to meet our friends Carrie and Abby at the mall. Kaitlyn and Colin's favorite place to go to is the play area. They had so much funny running around with Abby!! Here are some pics from our fun day!

Barnes & Noble Visit

Today we went to meet Auntie Kelly, Quintin, Grandma Young, a friend Sandy and her granddaughter Casey at Barnes and Noble. We had a lot of fun and spent a lot of time there. The kids loved reading books and they even were able to buy some too! And yes, I did bring my camera:) Here is Kaitlyn sharing a goldfish with Casey. Grandma was reading her a My Little Pony Book!

This was too funny!! Kaitlyn went and sat in a chair and crossed her legs and started reading out loud....I am happy she was so lady like:) We were cracking up at her sitting like that so I had to get it on video!!

We had a fun weekend! Saturday night Cam and I went to a surprise birthday party for a friend at Philly G's in Vernon Hills. Believe it or not I forgot my camera! I am waiting to get the pics from Dana so I can post some. The kids slept out at Kelly and Randy's and had a blast!! Sunday we went to a Super Bowl party at our neighbor Tom and Beth's house. We had a lot of fun! Here is a pic of mommy with her kiddos. K & C wore their Bears jerseys in honor of Chicago! Beth was too cute and picked up a ton of 3-D glasses for everyone. Did you all see the 3-D commercials after half time?? Here is Cam and Kaitlyn sporting their 3-D glasses:)

Our 2 Hams!

Today Kaitlyn and Colin had gymnastics class. They were sad that Madi wasn't at class because she was sick! Before leaving they were being so silly hugging each other so I had to grab my camera. We bought a new chair and they love sitting on it!

Colin gave Kaitlyn a kiss all on his own. It cracks me up how they act like hams whenever the camera is around..either that or they are trained really well:)

Sunday we went to meet our friends Chris and Lee's new baby. Charlee is so sweet and just adorable!! It was nice to finally get to meet her!! Here is Colin with the monkey that is in their dinning room. Don't ask me why but K & C love that thing and remembered right where it was from last time we were at their house:) Getting a chance to hold Charlee:)

Cam is so wonderful with babies...they always fall asleep when he is holding them! She slept for awhile in Cams arms:) Look at her little tights...they looked like she had little shoes on...SO cute!!

Colin asked all the way there if he could hold Charlee. Hes going to be good with babies just like his daddy!

Kaitlyn was able to hold Charlee too....mommy waited too long to take a picture though as Charlee was done being passed around:)

Pics from our week

Ready for a big post:) I am doing the whole week at once. Last Saturday we had a birthday party for K & Cs friend Jake. They had a lot of fun at Bounces R Us!! Here is Colin going down the huge slide. My daredevil of a child even went down head first a few times:)

On Sunday Cam and I enjoyed a nice afternoon and evening out. The kids slept at my parents house for the first time. Cam and I went downtown with friends to see Grease(Cam wasn't too thrilled but none of the husbands really were:)). Then we went to the Grand Lux Cafe for dinner. It was really good! Cant wait to go back! The kids did their annual tradition of making cookies with my mom. There are those silly aprons and hats again!!

Colin was working real hard spreading frosting while Kaitlyn was taste testing the frosting off of her spreader:)

Their cookies turned out great. My mom said they licked so many of the cookies and so we let the kids enjoy them as Cam and I were not brave enough to try one after hearing that:) They had a great time though and it was nice for Cam and I to get out. Thanks for taking the kids overnight for us!!!

Monday we went for a play date to Blake and Lukes house. It was a lot of fun! Here are Madi, Kaitlyn, Colin and Blake each doing their own thing on the couch.

Tuesday Madi and Makenna came over so I could watch them. Friday K & C are going to their house. Kristina and I switch off watching all 4 kids so we can run errands or get stuff done without the kids. Its so nice that we have each other to do that!! Madi and Makenna came in their PJ's because we decided it was going to be a cozy day. Didn't matter what they came in because the 3 older kids were in dress up clothes the whole time. Look, its Minnie Mouse and Cinderella!!!

We did a craft. I was trying to keep them busy. The busier they are the happier they are:) Kaitlyn was coloring her snowman mittens.

Notice Colin's shirt....its Spiderman! Our neighbor Micheal gave it to Colin and he wears it all of the time to dress up in. It has webs that attach the arms to the shirt so he really feels like Spiderman. Colin was working on coloring his mittens too.

The finished product. Makenna, Madi, Kaitlyn and Colin's snowmen! We opted out of putting boots on their snowmen as it took 45 min just to make them. How did I ever teach 24 second graders and get anything accomplished? I couldn't handle teaching 4 kids to make simple snowmen:)

Wednesday was our Woodland playgroup at Mackenzie's house. We missed Abby, Bella and Brynn who were not there!! Here are all of the kids getting ready to eat lunch. Lauren wasn't in the picture because she was having a bottle:)

We celebrated Jeffrey's 2nd birthday and sang to him.

The 3 boys! Jeffrey, Colin and Ben are the only boys in a playgroup full of lots of cute girls:)

Kids Being Kids

Kaitlyn and Colin have been SO silly lately. Cam and I get such a kick out of them and they make us laugh every day!! We feel so lucky that we have such amazing kiddos:) Here are a few pics of the kids having fun. They love to dress up!!!! Most days when we are at home they spend more time in their dress up stuff than they do in their regular clothes. Here they are as Minnie Mouse and a Power Ranger.

Play Date Fun

Yesterday we went to our friend Morgans house for a play date. We had a lot of fun as usual:) Here are Morgan and Colin playing with the Little People Castle. We played a game called Hullabaloo. Here we are listening to the directions and jumping to the spot where we were supposed to go. It was fun!

We got home and Kaitlyn wanted to dress up as a ballerina. She cant wait to start dance in the fall!!! Here she is showing off her ballerina stand...way up high on her tip toes!

1st Sleepover

Kaitlyn and Colin had their first sleepover Saturday night. They stayed at Auntie Kelly's and Uncle Randy's. They had a blast playing with their cousin Quintin! We had a surprise birthday party across at the neighbors and were excited to have a night out without the kiddos. We had so much fun that we even stayed out til 2am!! Kel sent me some pics so here are a few....Uncle Randy was reading Kaitlyn a book in the playroom.

The highlight of the night was Quintin's new Jump-O-Lene in his playroom! Here they are the next morning jumping in it....Bailey was even trying to climb in!

This was too cute! Colin was snuggled up in Q's chair and reading books to Quintin. Quintin's favorite character is Thomas:)

The highlight of the sleepover was Randy taking us to his work Sunday morning! It was the kids first time going to the police department. Here is Kaitlyn's mug shot!

A real jail cell....Cam and I just kept saying not to touch anything....who knows what kind of people have been in there:)

We got to meet a few officers who were there. This is Officer Scott. He was so nice and gave the kids lots of stuff to take home!

We even got to see a real police call! Earlier we saw the 911 center where the police and fire calls come in. A real call came in and we got to see a squad car rush out of the garage with lights and sirens on!!! It was loud!! Colin was in amazement!!! What a great sleepover and outing...thanks Uncle Randy, Auntie Kelly and Quintin!!!
