Willis Christmas

We celebrated Christmas with the Willis side the weekend before Christmas. We had a great time!! Wished we lived closer to each other so we could spend more time together!! The roads got pretty nasty as we got closer to my in laws. Here is a pic of us on the interstate and the visibility was getting bad!

Kaitlyn was so happy to get her necklace from Grandma and Papa. It is a sterling silver K with a little flower and diamond center. So cute!! She saw it at the jeweler several months back and has been asking for it! Grandma and Papa really surprised her!!

All of the kids bought Kent and Kathy a new plasma tv! We liked it so much that we went out the day after Christmas and bought one for our house:)

Preschool Christmas Program

Kaitlyn and Colin's Christmas program at school was on Thursday the 17th. They did a great job and we were so proud of them!! They both seemed really nervous at first and then Kaitlyn got over her nerves but Colin seemed to still be nervous...too nervous to do the hand motions:)

Dance Class

Kaitlyn's dance class had a family viewing night. We were able to sit in on one of her lessons. She absolutely loves dance class and does so well! She is looking forward to her recital in April! Its a tap number to the song Good Ship Lollipop. Here she is (in pink) and notice her doll Kaylee in the background on the left. Auntie Jill bought her a dance outfit for her doll and she insisted on bringing Kaylee to watch her dance that night:)

I have to brag about my hubby!!

I have to brag about my wonderful hubby! Cam is such an amazing father and husband!! My family teases me that they think he should be cloned!! I got really lucky:) He helps with the kids, things around the house, laundry, cooking etc. Just a down to earth good guy!! Tomorrow is his last day of school before winter break. He offered to bring a salad to school for their staff luncheon. I teased him that he should have picked something easy like a dessert and I would have baked cookies. He said he would do it himself so I let him:) We went to Jewel and picked out all of the ingredients that "he" wanted and salad dressings. I started on his staff gifts while he made the salad. I came into the kitchen to find this!!! I was pretty impressed at his fancy salad!!! He said I was nuts to take a pic and put it on the blog....I had to show off his fancy big salad that he worked very hard on.

What can you get for 75 staff members that is reasonably priced and doesn't send you in the poor house?? The last 3 years we have come up with some creative ideas for presents. This year we decided a scratch lottery ticket would be fun. I printed up envelopes with a little saying on them from Cam and his Assistant Principal. We stuffed them with a scratch lottery ticket and a shiny new penny so they can scratch their ticket. The fun part is that at tomorrow mornings staff meeting everyone will pick one envelope out of the basket and at the same time they will all open them. 2 of the envelopes have a quarter inside instead of a penny. Those 2 teachers who have a quarter will get a free period off where Cam gets to teach for them. The kids get such a kick out of their principal teaching them a lesson! The teachers love the anticipation of who is going to win every year. This year their is a bonus...maybe someone will win some $$...and who doesn't need that:)

Last Weekend

Last weekend we went to see the "real Santa" as we call him. He is so nice and we have visited him for the last 3 years! We visit him at a local bank...they are the nicest people! All of the employees are at the door to greet you and ask your kids names so Santa can yell out their names for them to come over and say hi before you even get close to him. They have a fire going in the fireplace and its so cozy:) Here are our letters that we brought for Santa to read. Notice Kaitlyn told me word for word that she is asking him for a "big camera" for mommy:) She knows how bad I want an SLR camera! Thanks Kaitlyn for thinking of mommy!!

Here are some pics from our visit! Santa read our letters out load and spent so much time with us. He is the best Santa! Mrs. Claus was their too! Afterwards we enjoyed some cookies with him!

Sunday we went over to Heidi and Steve's to watch the Bears game and let the kids play. Kaitlyn and Colin were very excited to hold baby Connor!! Hes so cute!!

How silly.....Elfie was in mommy's stocking on Monday morning! The kids are just getting a kick out of finding Elfie every morning!! These stockings were made by my mom. Mine is 32 years old...hard to believe I am that old hugh:) We all have one and love that they were handmade!!

My parents were off to a Christmas party last weekend:)
