Family Night

Tuesday night we went to Woodfield Mall for a family date! Cam and I have been so proud of the kids behavior lately! Cam had the idea of taking the kids, as a reward, to the mall and out for dinner. K & C have been talking about going to the Hello Kitty and Lego store for awhile so they were so excited when we surprised them and said we were going. We want them to know that we expect them to be on their best behavior all of the time and that they dont get rewards for everything but this reward day was long overdue. And I am sure you are wondering...who brings their camera to the mall...well, I do:) Kaitlyn and mommy outside the Hello Kitty Store. Kaitlyn LOVES Hello Kitty!!
Kaitlyn didnt know which way to turn in the store! Everything was so cute!

She instantly choose a Hello Kitty doll and a ballerina Hello Kitty tote. She plans to use the tote for her ballet shoes when she goes to dance class.

She was very happy with her purchases! You cant tell very well in these pictures but Kaitlyn has on her Hello Kitty shirt from Belgium. Its all rhinestones. Grandma and Papa Young just got back from Belgium and brought her this shirt. She was excited to wear it to the store!

Then we headed to the Lego Store for Colin. He loves Legos and really uses his imagination when he builds things!!

Colin and the jumbo Lego!

Every month at the store they have Lego projects. You get to take the Legos home too. This month was American Flags. Here they are with Daddy helping them make their flags.
Colin was proud of his American Flag!

Colin couldn't decide what he wanted...so many choices! He finally decided on the Lego gas pump/car. It comes with tools and you can take the wheels off.

Daddy and Colin with his purchase:)
Kaitlyn and Colin kept saying thank you to us. Makes us even more proud of them for being so appreciative and great kids!

They have a great play area so we let them run around for awhile. Then we headed to California Pizza Kitchen for a yummy dinner. We had a great night as a family and couldn't be prouder of our kids!!
