Volunteer Project

Kristina and I volunteered at the kids school to do 2 projects for their big fundraiser dinner/dance thats tonight. We have been working for about 2 months on the 2 projects. It felt great to be able to help out!! We had to make an art project using the kids in some way. So we went to school and took pics of the kids spelling out Little Angels(their preschool name) using their bodies. Their school, Montini, is preschool- 8th grade. Tonight is the big dinner/dance and auction. Hopefully this project will help to bring in some money for the school. We also put together a class basket with a netbook and lots of accessories in it. Each class provides an art project and class basket for the auction. We hope tonight is a huge success for the school!!

Willis Easter

We spent Easter weekend with Grandma and Papa Willis this year! The kids are always excited to go back and visit! Here is Kaitlyn with Grandma doing their traditional morning baking! Its so cute how they love to bake together!!!
Kaitlyn and Grandma love to color together too!

Cousins Reid & Jay! Ever since Colin saw Reid and Jays plaid pj pants he asked me to buy him some. He feels "cool" like his cousins when he wears his plaid pj pants:)

Opening our Easter gifts from Auntie Jill and Uncle Craig!

Thanks Auntie Jill for thinking of us!!

While we were there we went to Burlington, Iowa(Kaitlyn and Colin think its SO neat that we went to another state just to see a movie). Little do they know its only 30 minutes away:) We saw the Dragon movie in 3D with the entire Willis clan! It was the first time the 4 of us have ever seen a movie in 3D...pretty cool!!

The cousins playing together! Kaitlyn fits right in with the boys:)

Easter morning pics!

We were missing the kids 2 other cousins Ike and Everett for this pic.

Here are Kaitlyn and Colin with their future Auntie Rachel. Uncle Kc and Rachel are getting married on November 13th in Kansas. They asked Kaitlyn to be their flower girl and Colin to be their ring bearer. They are SO excited to "get fancy" they said!! :)

The Easter Bunny Came!!

We celebrated Easter morning at our house on Good Friday since we were going to be out of town for Easter weekend. I trully belive that it is important for our kids to know the true meaning of Easter!! But I also feel that Kaitlyn and Colin are 4 years old and they should be able to enjoy the fun/magic of it too. You can never get this time back with them believing and its fun. Before you know it they will be too old:) That being said we also stress the importance of them knowing the true meaning too!! Here they are setting out their carrots and baskets the night before.
Running to see if the bunny came....can you see the clock behind them...it was 6:35am...yikes!! Look at the excitement in their eyes! Its so much fun for Cam and I to see!

Guess he came:) Now dont let this pic fool you....you can get an AMAZING amount of stuff for free or SUPER cheap with coupons as I learned from a coupon seminar!!! You would be shocked at the small amount of $ I spent!!

Colin was excited about his Batman and stretchy man!!!

Kaitlyn loves to draw with pip squeek markers so she was excited about her marker tower!!
It was a fun morning spent as a family!!!

We went to Auntie Kelly & Uncle Randy's house to hang out one night. We did Easter baskets too. The kids were excited to open their baskets!
Thanks for the Leapster games!!

Quintin loved his Zhu Zhu Pet from us.....Kel loved it too until Q stuck it into her hair and she practically had to shave her head to get her hair untangled from the wheels:) Oops!

Zachary slept on grandmas shoulder:) Thanks for a fun night!!!

Willis/Harvey Easter

About 2 weeks ago we got together with the Harvey family to enjoy an Easter fun filled day. We went to the mall to see the bunny:)

They happened to have an event for the movie Alvin and the Chipmunk's and the kids were so excited to get to see Alvin, Simon and Theodore!!!

How cute are these chipmunks!!!!

Best Buds!!!

We came home after a stop at the grocery store...which was a sight in itself....4 adults, 4 loud kids and 4 shopping carts...and attempting to shop for our groceries for dinner. The kids played and the 4 adults all teamed up to cook a yummy dinner.....notice Brandon, Kristina and Cam ignoring me when I said to smile for the camera:)

The kids were excited for a quick egg hunt in the basement!!

Ready, Set, GO!!!!!!!!

Uncle Brandon trying to calm the kids down by reading them a book:)
Having a dance party!!!

Dying Eggs!!

Notice the basketball game on the tv in the background....the moms did eggs and the dads did a great job watching the basketball games:) But hey, they did help cook dinner so we were fine with them relaxing!

Opening Easter baskets!

Kaitlyn loves her My Little Pony stuff!!

Colin loves his Bakugan toys! Thanks Auntie Kristina, Uncle Brandon, Madi and Makenna for a fun day and all of the Easter goodies!!

Easter w/ Grandma & Papa Young

About two weeks ago my parents came over for dinner and to celebrate Easter with us since we would be out of town for the holiday.
Kaitlyn and Colin were so excited to open their baskets! Thanks Grandma for taking so much time to sew us new chenille blankets...we know that they are so time consuming to make! We were so surprised and think of you every night when we are wrapped up and cozy for bed!
The kids picked out their fabric a few weeks ago but Grandma said that they wouldn't be done til their birthdays. Surprise! I have a blanket that my mom made me several years ago so we all have one now:) Kaitlyn choose a bright flowers fabric and Colin choose the "Illini". Its so cute because he always brings his work home from school and a few weeks ago he made a rainbow with only orange and blue colors just for his daddy:)
Thanks Papa for helping build an "egg nest" for us so we can go to college someday!!
Grandma made us try on all of our new clothes...here's K in her cherry bathing suit and cover up skirt!
Colin sporting some adorable plaid shorts and a shirt!

We were so excited about these eggs.....we waited, and waited and waited and THEN.....

12 hours later the chicks hatched:) Thanks Grandma and Papa for thinking of us on Easter!!

Organization is the Key!!

I thought I would share my madness with you all! I have a slight obsession with toy organization! :) Ever since my kids were little I have organized their toys in bins with, yes, laminated word and picture signs on them. When its time to clean up I want them to know that everything has a place and make it easy for them to find where things go and keep things somewhat organized. Heres some pics of only some of my kids bins! And when we pass toys on all I have to do is rip off the sign and make a sign one for whatever new toy belongs in that bin.
Ahhhh...I love organization:)
