Fun with Friends!

Wednesday night we had an American Idol Finale party at our house with some neighbors. Some of the girlies decided to dress up fancy...it was so cute:) Kaitlyn LOVES her flower girl dress from Auntie Rachel and Uncle KC's wedding! She STILL wears in and the wedding was in November! She wears it so much that she woke up the next day and insisted on wearing it again. She even napped in it:) Colin loves to dress up too! He borrowed Grandma's Spiderman costume so he could wear it at home.

Bonfire!

Saturday night we had an impromptu BBQ/Bonfire with a few of the neighbors. Thanks to Tom & Beth and Rose & Dave for the yummy food!! Maddie, Kaitlyn, Katie, Lauren & Colin enjoying their dinner outside:) The Kaitlyn Marie's squared! Katie did Kaitlyn's hair in a side ponytail so they could match:)

We have gotten a ton of use out of our bonfire pit the last few years! The kids were laying on a blanket star gazing:)

What a fun night!! We look forward to many more summer bonfires:)

Softball Star!

Kaitlyn is doing so well with softball and she loves it!!! She has improved so much! About 2 weeks ago she received the MVP game ball. She was on cloud 9!!! We were so proud of her! She had her whole team and coaches sign the ball and we are going to put it in a softball display case in her room! Way 2 Go Kaitlyn!!! This picture was from this weeks game. Grandma and Papa Young, Auntie Kelly, Uncle Randy, Quintin, Zachary, Uncle Bill & Auntie Lauren came to cheer the kids on at their games. Uncle Brandon, Auntie Kristina and Makenna were there too since Kaitlyn & Madi are on the same team:) Kaitlyns softball and Colins baseball games were at the same park. It was the one and only time they were going to be at the same place the entire season. So my family decided it would be a good day to come and "field hop". I wanted to take a pic of everyone and they told me to count to 3. So I did and this is what they did to be silly....one 3 they all jumped out of their chairs to mess up the pic. We caused quite the scene:) Too funny and a good laugh! Everyone always teases me that I am a picture freak but nobody seems to complain when they have tons of pics to look at:)

Miscellaneous Pics

We have been having fun and trying to enjoy the nice weather when it is here. Its been nice one day and then cold or rainy the next. Summer cant make up its mind if it wants to make an appearance or not:) Last week we went to the park and had a picnic lunch with Madi, Makenna, Quintin and Zachary. It was Zachy's 1st picnic:) Here are the boys! And the girlies!

Someday I will probably be in BIG trouble for taking this picture. BUT I have to say that Colin did this all by himself!! The kids were playing in the basement and came upstairs belly laughing so hard that I knew they were up to no good. Sure enough Colin was dressed like a girl and Kaitlyn was dressed as a boy. They crack me up!!!

Look at this sky! Sunday night we were under tornado warnings and it was pretty scary looking outside. Cam loves to hang out outside and watch the storms roll in. I ran out to get him since the sirens were going off. He wanted me to take a picture. We spent awhile in the basement. The kids wanted to call Grandma and Papa Willis while the sirens were going off:)

Homemade Gifts:)

I LOVE when my kids make me homemade gifts! I cherish them so much! Here is my shrine to my kiddos:) They made me the big square plate for Mothers Day a few years ago. The coffee filter flowers were given to me at their Mothers Day Tea last year. The small cupcake plates were given to me at their Mothers Day Tea this year. The dancing pink and blue flowers they picked out for me on my birthday from the dollar store:) And the ceramic creatures they made in art class. I love my corner window over my sink but most of all I love looking at all of the special things that Kaitlyn & Colin have made with love for their mommy! ♥

Nicole comes to visit!

This week our cousin Nicole (aka Coco) came to visit. She stayed with Auntie Kelly but came to our soccer game on Tuesday night. We LOVE seeing her!!!

She also came over on Thursday to play. We went to the park and had so much fun. Coco gives the best underdogs!!!

Mothers Day & Cams Birthday

We had such beautiful weather on Mothers Day! It was Cams birthday too so we were excited to celebrate and spend some time outside. Here I am with my favorite kiddos before I went for a 3 mile run. How lucky am I to have these 2 beautiful, healthy kids:)

Maybe this is what he was laughing at....The girls were all sitting in the screened in porch enjoying the weather when Randy came running through with a plate of fire!!!! Yes, the boys had a small issue and almost burned the house down cooking some bacon and paper towels...yikes!!

We sang happy birthday to Cam with a yummy zucchini bread that Lauren had made!

The kids played out in the dirt after breakfast. What is it with kids and dirt. The messier the better!!!

We even saw a wild turkey on my parents driveway. It was huge and very loud! Here it is strolling across the yard.

That night we sang to Cam again. I made him some yummy Paleo chocolate chip cookies to enjoy guilt free:) There is nobody else I would rather share Mothers Day with than my hubby on his birthday♥

Mothers Day Tea

Kaitlyn and Colin had their Mothers Day Tea at school last Friday. It was SO cute!! Their teachers so such a nice job putting together this special day. They combined 2 classes so it was a big group. The kids work so hard to practice their songs too! We enjoyed yummy treats and of course tea in fancy porcelain tea cups:) Its such a special day! The kids made their moms adorable plates as a gift. I video tapped the performance but didn't take many pics. I was trying to enjoy the moment! I rarely get to do that:) Singing their songs in their chef hats and spoons with pasta on them:)

Colins 1st Baseball Game

Colin was so excited about his 1st baseball game!! He did a great job and we were so proud of him! Here he is sitting on the bench talking with his buddies while waiting for his turn to bat:) Ready to smack the ball!!

Misc. Pics

The kids LOVE their new bikes! Since they are too big for the jogger we have been having them ride their bikes while Cam and I run. Here we are on the path near our house on their first bike ride. They made it 2 miles!! Our goal is to work them up to a 5K:) Colin was the first one to the finish line! Do you think he was rubbing in in?!? He got off his bike and was sitting on the bench as if he was saying What Took You Guys So Long:)
The kids enjoy reading with their Tag systems. They even brought them along to the dr. a few weeks ago:)

We went to see the movie Rio with our neighbors. Such a cute movie!! Here is Lauren, Kaitlyn, Maddie, Colin and Kaitlyn:)

We also went to the high school promenade. Its so fun to see all of the pretty dresses!! Kaitlyn's favorite is usually the one with the most sparkle:)

Our neighbor Leah and her boyfriend Jake. Leah looked so pretty and of course Kaitlyn loved her bright yellow shoes:) Its so Leah!

This is too cute. Colin was playing "office". Notice his set up....a clip on tie on his t-shirt, computer, a little lamp from one of Kaitlyn's doll sets, his play blackberry, credit cards, etc:) Too funny!!
