Disneyland!!!!!!

I was finally able to get this post to work...not sure what was wrong. There are a few very short video clips too. All of the spacing is wrong and I cant figure out why so just ignore the errors...you all know how much it bothers me though:) K & C are still sick!! They went back to the dr today and besides for Colins double ear infection and continuing with their nebulizer breathing treatments, Kaitlyn has pneumonia. So we will be hibernating in the house for the next week to get everyone healthy and back up to speed! Hope you enjoy the Disney pics and videos...sorry the posts are all out of order!!!

Saturday was definitely the highlight of our California trip....DISNEYLAND!!!! It was amazing and we will have so many wonderful memories. I have always had so much fun in the past when I have been there but there is nothing like seeing the joy on your children's faces when you take them for the first time!!!! I even shed a tear seeing them having so much fun and thinking about all 10 of us being together as a family...yes you all know how emotional I am:) We stayed for 9 hours!! Cam and I cant wait to get back with Kaitlyn and Colin.....we will probably go to Disney World since its closer though:) We took hundreds of pictures this weekend so picking just a few doesn't even show a small sample of the amount of fun we had!! Even the "big kids" were able to go on some rides....we loved Space Mountain!! I am including some shirt video clips in this post too. Enjoy!!!!

Colin loved driving the race cars....we all rode this ride a few times...here is Colin riding with Uncle Bill. Randy, Kel and Quintin are driving behind them...poor Q just made the height requirements once Kel put his shoes on:)

We were 1st in line to meet Minnie. She is so cute Kaitlyn keeps saying and she loves her so much!!

This video was TOO funny not to post....I was attempting to tape Colin with Goofy and some mom sent her daughter over to get in the video with Colin. I got a little upset and told Minnie that I wasnt taking the picture of her.....who would do that!!?? Minnie took the girl out of the pic for us:) Thanks Minnie!!

Disneyland was completely decorated for Halloween and it was really neat! Kaitlyn and Colin loved the Mickey pumpkin!

The parade was amazing!!! This is when I teared up...K & C were in amazement the entire time. So many characters were coming up to them and they loved it! A princess came up to Colin and said he was such a handsome prince and Cinderella blew Kaitlyn a kiss:)

Back Home

We arrived back at Ohare Monday night. One last pic with Grandma at the baggage claim area before we all parted to go home. We hope you enjoyed your birthday weekend Grandma...we sure did!!!! Thanks again Papa for taking us!!! Tuesday the kids went to the dr. They are both pretty sick! Colin's oxygen level was low so he had a breathing nebulizer treatment in the office. We have a nebulizer machine at home so he will get a treatment every 4 hours. The dr said that because the kids had RSV when they were infants they are more susceptible to issues like this with their lungs. Colin also has a double ear infection. Poor kid! Kaitlyn is about 2 days behind him with her symptoms. She is getting nebulizer treatments as well. They sound awful but you would never know they were sick by their smiling faces even during their breathing treatments:)

Last Day in San Diego

Our vacation went way too fast!!! Sunday we decided to go visit the ocean one last time and enjoy some California sun. Then we went out for a nice Italian dinner to celebrate Grandmas birthday. It was a great day! Here is daddy and Kaitlyn at breakfast. Colin loved relaxing and doing some coloring pages!

This was funny to everyone else except myself. We were cleaning off our feet and Cam pushed the upper button on accident instead of the lower one for the feet(he said on accident) and I got completely sprayed in the face. I was soaked!!!

Day 2 in San Diego!

We started our day early....as in 4:30am early!! The kids woke up then(which was 6:30am Chicago time) but they went to bed at 1:30am Chicago time so they were wiped! The adults only had 3 hours of sleep so we were wiped as well! We decided to make it a low key day....thats what vacations are for right?!? We were up so early and ate breakfast with all of the business people at 6am that we decided to go to La Jolla Beach..the sun wasnt even really out yet because it was so early. We wanted the kids to experience the ocean and the sand. Colin is still sick and we spoke with the pediatrician today....we are holding off on a steroid treatment and she told us to take him to the ER if he seems to get worse. We will see how he does through the night. He didnt seem any worse tonight so that was good! You would never know he was sick we all said!!

Tonight we went to meet our Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Betty for the first time. We were very excited! Last time mommy and daddy were visiting them mommy was 4 months pregnant with us.

We Made It!!!

We made it to sunny California tonight!!! Everything went almost too smoothly! The kids were very excited to go on their first airplane trip and did so well!! We were shocked at how well they actually did on the plane!! They wore matching t-shirts with their cousin Quintin on the airplane that said "I cant wait to meet"...with their favorite characters name on it. Then when we boarded the plane the crew was great!!! They let Kaitlyn and Colin talk over the loud speaker. They got to say "Hello and Welcome Aboard" It was so cute! Of course they got wings from the pilot too! The only kicker is that Colin is sick. As the night has progressed he has gotten worse. I am pretty sure its croup now so we will call the dr in the morning and see if they will call in a steroid treatment or make us go to the ER here. Keeps things interesting here as I want him to be better to go to Disneyland on Saturday!!!
