Swim Videos!

We are SO proud of Kaitlyn and Colin and how much their swimming skills have improved! We decided this weekend would be sink or swim for them:) Here are some videos of them when we first took off their life jackets and had them swim solo. They couldnt touch at all til they reached the rope! Wish I had taken more of them at the end of the day when they had NO fear!!

ISU and Reid's Game

We had a GREAT weekend! Friday we went down to Illinois State University where Cam and I met. We wanted to take the kids around the campus. Then we went to see our nephew Reid play baseball. It was a fun day!! If you look closely you can see Cam and the kids on the ISU bridge:) Cam ducked while still holding the kids. I was yelling from across the street to hold on not knowing that he was....didn't need any accidents being they were on a bridge ledge over a street!! My fear of heights was kicking in:)

Future Redbirds maybe??
Taking a stroll thru the "Quad" where all of the classes were held.

Daddy was showing the kids where he took classes.

From ISU we headed to Forsyth to see Reid's game. We were so excited to get to see him play!! Living so far we don't get the opportunity to go as often as we like! Go #11!!

Reid scoring a run!!

K & C were visiting Auntie Jill who was working the concession stand. They wanted to sample everything that was there!!

Great game Reid!! Thanks for letting your camera crazy Aunt takes lots of pics...hope I didnt embarrass you:)
K & C were watching Jay play his DS:) Wished we could have seen Jay play too....hopefully next summer we will make it to one of his games!!

Fathers Day Weekend

Last weekend we went to visit Grandma and Papa Willis. We were so excited to spend Fathers Day weekend with them! We were very busy and had a lot of fun when we were there visiting! Saturday we went to flower girl dress shop for Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn and Colin are in Cams brother KC and his fiancee Rachel's wedding. The wedding will be in Kansas on November 13th. The kids cant wait! The were in a wedding about a year and a half ago and act like they are pro's now:) Kaitlyn had to bring her doll Kaylee with to try on dresses:)
Grandma was helping Kaitlyn get ready to try on dresses!

Rachel picked out lots of pretty dresses for Kaitlyn to try on!!

We wont show the one Rachel choose since its a surprise:) But we can show you a dress that was one of Kaitlyn's favorites. Does this surprise you?!?! We let Kaitlyn try this one on for fun since her favorite color is bright hot pink:)

That afternoon we went with all of the family and some friends to see Toy Story 3. It was such a cute movie!! Then a big group of us went out for pizza. What a busy but fun day. The kids ended it by catching fireflies in their pjs with grandma and papa. They were still alive in their jars the next morning so they did the right thing and let them go.

Kaitlyn and Colin love all of the toys at Grandma and Papas house! They have tons of legos, farm stuff and tractors galore! Grandma and Papa have 4 boys and all of their boys have boys except for Cam. Did you know that Kaitlyn is the ONLY granddaughter on both sides of our families? Shes quite the princess!:) Grandma has bought some girl toys so Kaitlyn has stuff to play with. Kaitlyn still loves playing with all of the tractors etc too. This baby crib is so cute and Kaitlyn loves how Kaylee fits perfectly and has a little blanket for her:)

We love you Grandma and Papa! Thanks for a fun weekend!!

Kaitlyn and Grandma making mashed potatoes! Yum!

Rachel is so much fun to play with!! She played a lot with us this weekend!! She fits in well and is going to make a great Aunt!

Auntie Jolene bought these awesome bubble blasters for us to play with! They are so cool! I am not a fan of bubbles since they are so messy. But you screw the little bottle of bubbles onto the blaster and 300 bubbles per min come out with no mess! Super fun!

Look at all of those bubbles behind Kaitlyn!!! You can find these at Walmart if anyone is interested.

Poor Rachel was being chased down by the bubble blaster boys:)

Happy Fathers Day to the best daddy in the world!!! What a fun weekend! We look forward to this weekend with the family again and lots of swimming at Auntie Jill and Uncle Craig's house!!

Silly Wedding Glasses

I wanted to put these pics with our anniversary post but I forgot. My mom had bought these silly glasses before our wedding. She thought it would be cute to do a wedding party pic with these glasses and the guys had cigars. She found the glasses in a box the other day when the kids were sleeping over. Kaitlyn and Colin thought they were HILARIOUS with these on!!! Here they are and then below is the wedding party picture-I think we were missing a few people. Sorry its a bad quality scan!!

Cubs Game

Wednesday was our 9 year anniversary. I surprised Cam and showed up at his work to take him to the Cubs game. It took us over 2 1/2 hours to get to the city. The whole way there while I was driving he kept asking where we were going. He had no clue that we were going to a Cubs game. He was shocked and SO excited when I finally told him right before we arrived. We had so much fun and enjoyed a nice night out that was much needed! Thanks to my parents for taking the kids overnight so we could go to the game! Here are some pics from our night!

This was Lee's first time up to bat and he hit a home run!!! Wouldn't you know Cam was in the bathroom and missed it:)

Note to self: Don't ask anyone after the game to take your picture....too much fun at the ballpark equals our whole bodies cut out of the picture:)

This was too funny! We all know I love mac n cheese...well right outside the stadium is this huge mac n cheese noodle! Channel 9 News was there taping and the news lady was sitting on top of the noodle waiting to tape her segment:)

Nine Wonderful Years!

Happy 9th Anniversary to the most amazing husband and father in the world! Cam and I have known each other for 14 years now. Hard to believe its been that long!
This is the first picture that Cam and I ever took together. We met on September 11th 1996 down at Illinois State University. My parents were in town visiting and took us out for breakfast. My mom snapped our first picture together! Look how young we look!

Our true miracle babies wearing their first pair of real Uggs:)

They have grown up to be the most adorable, smart and hilarious 4 year olds that we could not be more proud of!
Happy Anniversary to my best friend! We make such a great team!
I look forward to many more memories and anniversaries ahead! Love you!

Cousins

Wednesday I was babysitting and the 3 boys had their matching outfits from Grandma on. Of course I couldn't resist snapping a few quick pics of the boys...they looked so cute!!!
If Zachary could talk he would be saying this during this big yawn he was doing "Enough pictures already Auntie Stacey I am getting BORED!" :)

Kaitlyn wanted to join in too and take a pic with the boys! Aren't they all just the cutest?!?!

Fun-Day Monday!

Cam was off today and we had such a fun day!! We started by waking up and heading to a little antique pancake house in our town around 7:30am. We were the only ones in the restaurant! (which also meant I could pull out my camera and not embarrass Cam:)) The kids were excited to sit at their bar because the food and drinks were delivered by train. They thought Papa Young would think this was so neat since he loves trains! Video of the drinks arriving.

They asked if they could come here for breakfast every morning! :)

Then we went down to the river walk. They have redone this area and built new town homes on the river so we wanted to check it out.

Of course the kids had to check out the bridge! Colin was a running machine!

Daddy liked seeing all of the boats!

After that we dropped the kids off at VBS(vacation bible school). They will be there from 9-noon all week. They had a blast today and cant wait to go back tomorrow!! While they were at VBS Cam starting sanding down our kitchen table. When the kids were little they would jab their forks into the wood and the top was destroyed. I am SO excited that I will have my table back soon looking as good as new! Thanks honey!!!

After we picked up the kids from VBS we came home and did homemade whole wheat pizzas. Yum! Today was so much fun and we look forward to many more family days this summer!!
