My Healthy Eaters!

Here are my little chefs! Cam and I could not be more proud of the healthy eaters that Kaitlyn and Colin are! I know I have posted about it before but I just cant stress the importance Cam and I feel of exposing our kids to all kinds of foods! To this day I am an extremely picky eater and I dont want the kids to grow up that way. Helping mommy make homemade Paleo red sauce with meat!

We use this yummy red sauce with meat and pour it over spaghetti squash. The kids absolutely love it!!! The squash shreds like angel hair pasta and its oh so yummy!!!

Dinner last night....my big salad eaters!!! They had a spring mix salad with their favorite toppings: cucumbers, red peppers, hard boiled eggs and of course they love crunchy tortilla strips and ranch dressing:) Then sauteed asparagus and chicken breast and strawberries too. It was DE-lish!!!! Thumbs up for my healthy eaters!!!

Playing with M & M!

I feel so lucky to have Kristina in my life. We are there for each other and always helping each other out when needed. And boy did we really need each other lately. Between my back and her surgery we were both out of commission...luckily at different times!! Here are some pics from the days we watched Madi and Makenna. One day I had PT so my mom actually watched all 4 kids so I could go. Playing with the Pet Shop stuff!
BFF's just like their mommys!
Kaitlyn is OBSESSED with taking pics with my little camera....wonder where she gets it. She took this pic of me with my M & M's:)
The kids had so much fun at my moms. They were playing restaurant here:)

One day I took M & M to swim lessons with us and then to Kels house to babysit. So I had 6 kids...yes I felt like super mom:) The kids had so much fun in Kels playroom!!!

Hand Me Downs & Trades:)

We LOVE hand me downs! Who wouldn't?!?! :) Especially when they are in tip top shape like these golf clubs! Thanks so much to Reid & Jay for passing their golf clubs down to Colin!! He was super duper excited and cant wait to get out on the course with Daddy this Spring! Thanks for the clothes too! He always gets such great use out of your stuff!! Love & miss you guys! My moms neighbor has girls and passed on her whole collection of Pet Shop stuff to my mom so she had new toys at her house. Kaitlyn and Colin were going nuts over it and asked to borrow it and take it home for a few days. They play with it ALL of the time. Thanks Claire!!

Colin borrowed a dress up construction set from Grandma Young's dress up closet:)
The kids love to play dress up as you can tell! No clue what Kaitlyn was here:)
This is princess Jessie from Toy Story. Kaitlyn added the princess in front of Jessie's name because she likes to think she is a princess:) She completely dressed herself bows and all....too funny!

Grandma & Papa Willis Visit!!

Grandma and Papa Willis came to the rescue 2 weekends ago and visited us! Mommy was couch bound pretty much and daddy was exhausted from doing all of the housework by himself. The kids were SO excited to have them visit! They played, played, played ALL weekend. Poor Grandma and Papa had to have been exhausted when they left:) Here is Papa playing Candyland with the kids.
(I used my cell phone for all of these pics....thats all I had on the couch with me:)) Grandma & Papa are such great drawers! They drew pictures with the kids. K & C LOVE to watch Grandma and Papa draw!
Lots of Connect Four was played over the weekend too!! Colin is becoming the Connect Four master:)
Of course they taught Grandma how to play Mario Cart on the Wii!! They love their pink and blue steering wheels from Uncle KC and Auntie Rachel:)
Look at Colin's tongue:) It hangs out every time he plays!
Silly boy!!!
We took Grandma and Papa to check out CostCo. It was their first visit and I think they are hooked! Yes, thats a hideous pic of me in my moms "gifted" wheelchair:) It was my first time out in almost 3 weeks!
Kaitlyn and Papa showing off their drawing banner that the 4 of them created!
Papa drew a great tractor and then Colin drew one too. Grandma drew herself, Kaitlyn, her doll Kaylee and Kaitlyn drew herself.
This is where I spent most of the weekend...on the couch visiting and reading on my new nook:)
Thanks Grandma and Papa for coming to the rescue and spending so much time with us this weekend! You are welcome to visit ANYTIME!!! Kaitlyn sobbed after they pulled out of the driveway...it was so sad! We love and miss you already! Looking forward to our visit over Spring Break!! Papa-Colin wants a Connect Four rematch:)

The last 2 1/2 weeks

This is where I lived for basically 2 1/2 weeks:) Thanks mom for "gifting" your walker and wheelchair to me!! Haha! The kids were going stir crazy with boredom since mommy was completely out of commission. They know how to use my little point and shoot camera. I told them they could do my blogging for me.....so heres what they took pics of.....THEMSELVES:)

As you can tell the days we stayed at home they dressed themselves too:)
They asked me to take this one of them!
Kaitlyn's self pic of herself:)
Then we had the BIG milk spill. And in big I mean an entire gallon of milk was spilled while mommy was still up in bed. What a disaster! Thanks SO much to my amazing neighbor who came over and cleaned it all up since I couldn't bend over to save my life!!!
All was well after this spill and in the scheme of things life was good....there was no use crying of spilled milk:) Even though I did cry at first when I saw it!
