New Pics

Last week we had new pics taken of the kids. They didn't turn out how we wanted because they were not their natural smiles but oh well! This is a scanned copy. I ordered these shirts from Etsy back in November for the kids. Even ordered matching ones for Madi and Makenna for Christmas. Cant wait to get a pic of all 4 of the kids together in their shirts!

Scarecrows in January??

Remember Christmas Day when I posted a pic of our scarecrow that our neighbor put in our front yard?? Well, 3 of us had scarecrows in our front yard Christmas morning. My neighbor Rose called me tonight and said we should re gift the 3 scarecrows back to our neighbors who originally gifted them to us:) So we bundled up and snuck over with three scarecrows and our spot light. Mind you I had to dig in 5 inches of snow to find our buried spot light!! We had everything set up and plugged in the light..it looked great! We were so proud! We were running back to my neighbors house when we got caught! Bummer....our neighbors thought it was hilarious!! I just wonder where these things will end up next!!

Mini Me!!

Cam walked in our room tonight and found Kaitlyn doing this! She has never climbed up on our dresser before but she discovered the mirror:) Watch the 2 videos...its TOO hilarious!! I ran in with my camera and stood in the doorway so she didnt see me....I was holding back from laughing so hard that I had to stop taping, compose myself and go back in:) I called my mom and she said I was EXACTLY the same way Kaitlyn is when I was little. She is our little drama queen...guess I was too!!

Snow Day!!!

Today was a snow day for the kids...not Cam though:( His dist is getting out early due to the weather so thats good...we want him home safe! I took the kids outside for about 30 min. They had a blast!! Here they are all ready to go....notice we are more worried about warmth than matching this year:)

It was really pretty outside despite what a mess all of this snow is causing!

The kids were tyring to help me shovel...at their rate we would have been out there for hours:) But I appreciated their help!

They love the mounds that the snowplows create!!

Really guys?? You think its a good idea to roll in the snow...Kaitlyn was just about to roll over and her entire face got full of snow....doesnt make for a happy girl!

They were starting to get too wired and started throwing shovels full of snow at each other.....

After this incident I decided we were done....Poor Colin!! Right in the face with a shovel full of snow! He was fine though:)

Monkey Joe's

Yesterday we went with Auntie Kelly, Heidi and all of the kids to Monkey Joe's. The kids had a lot of fun!! Here are some pics from our morning! K & C checking out the bounce house!

All was going great UNTIL Monkey Joe came out. All of the kids loved him and Colin thought he was hilarious! Here is Quintin with Monkey Joe. Kaitlyn on the other hand was TERRIFIED of him and thats an understatement!! So we left early and didnt stay for lunch like we planned. I dont think we will be going back anytime soon:)

Kaitlyn Update

Kaitlyn has some procedures coming up in the next few weeks so I wanted to fill everyone in on whats going on. First here are a few pics:) She was showing off her new dance leotard. She loves the back so we had to get a pic of that too!

Monday we went to Glenbrook Hospital to see her plastic surgeon. She insisted on bringing Kaylee in her baby carrier, her diaper bag and her purse. I said it was ok as long as she carried it all. Here she is in the hospital dragging all of her gear around:)

Now for the update. Kaitlyn has been having pretty bad stomach issues/pains! So she is having an endoscopy and colonoscopy a week from today(Wed) at Highland Park Hospital. So next Tuesday we will have to do the prep all day which I dread! Cam will be at work and I will be feeding her laxative drinks and pills all day:( Its pretty bad from what they have told us!! Then she doesnt go to the OR for the procedures til 2pm the next day. Which means ONLY jello and popsicles all day on Tuesday along with the laxatives and then NOTHING on Wed til after she is out of the OR. Try explaining that to a 4 yr old! The biopsy's take a week. They will be checking her entire bowel and digestive track so hopefully we will know whats been the cause of her issues.

Then on Feb 4th she will have more laser surgery to her lip at Children's Memorial Hospital. Right now she is the 3rd case of the day so I assume she will be scheduled to go to the OR around 10am which is so much better than her colonoscopy will be!! Waiting all day for a child makes Cam and I really upset!!

Shes knows whats happening and is the bravest girl we know. She did say to us...."only 2 more surgeries and thats it right?!?!" :( We sure hope that we are near the end of this processl!!

We will keep everyone updated..please keep her in your prayers!

Future Snowboarder??

Colin loves snowboarding stuff! He has pjs, hats etc. He has never tried to snowboard obviously but thinks its really cool and would love to try someday! He wears this hat all of the time even when we are inside at home. He loves it! He was watching tv the other day and just looked too cute in his hat...I couldn't resist taking his picture while he was very involved in a tv show:)

New Years Eve

We went to our neighbors house with a few other families for New Years. I had a bad morning because I backed into a parked car and damaged a ladies car pretty bad. But thats a whole different story!! :)

So I was ready to enjoy a fun night out!

Winter Break

We had a wonderful, relaxing winter break. Cam has been home for 2 weeks and it was great!! We were busy around the holidays and did have the flu go through our house but all in all it was nice to spend so much time with each other!! The kids were so lucky to receive so many new toys, clothes etc! They have been very busy with all of their new stuff! Colin loves his new hoop in his bedroom from Auntie Kelly and Uncle Randy! He feels like such a big kid now!! He shoots, he scores...yeah for Colin!!

Life is good...enjoying a drinkable yogurt and playing a game!

I found the kids playing their Leapsters with their headphones on and INSIDE their new personalized travel bags from Aunt Shari & Uncle Jim! They are huge and will be great for traveling back and forth to visit Farm Grandma and Papa!

Since Kaitlyn was sick for Christmas Eve we moved hosting it to the day after Christmas. We were excited to have our family here. We love our Great Aunt Carmie!!

Colin is the building master!! He loves to build things and does a great job! He didn't nap one day last week...mostly because he wanted some time with mommy and daddy I think:) He made a combine all by himself!! This pic is for you Farm Papa!
