Chuck E Cheese

Auntie Kelly finally sent mommy the pictures from Chuck E Cheese! Thanks Auntie Kelly for taking me as I had so much fun with you and Quintin!! Here I am on the Barney ride. This was too cute. Auntie Kelly said that she did not say to put my arm around Barney...how cute!!

Here I am climbing up to go in the tunnels....this is my favorite thing to do at Chuck E Cheese!!

Quintin and I had a lot of fun playing back at their house! We were just relaxing here.

I love my cousin so much:)

My Cookie Monster!

It must be the day for my kids to say and do funny things! Tonight Colin wanted some Ritz crackers. He lined them up on the table and started to eat them like an animal! There were crumbs flying everywhere!!!!!!! He must have known I was getting upset by the mess because he looked at me with a serious face and said that he was eating his "cookies like Cookie Monster". I just had to laugh...he was pretending his crackers were cookies! My floor and table was covered in crumbs!! He doesn't even watch Sesame Street anymore but he remembered how Cookie Monster ate his cookies and made a huge mess! How could I get upset at his cute face full of crumbs!! :) I should have grabbed my camera but I was just enjoying the moment for a minute before I grabbed my vacuum!

Excuses, Excuses!

Did you ever know that pigtails can hurt?? This was too cute that I had to post it....sorry but I don't have a picture...isnt that a surprise!! :) Today Kaitlyn, Colin and their best buddy Madi had gymnastics class. They are so big that they take class without the moms and go in with their teacher Miss Nicole. Its only the 3 of them in the class so they really receive alot of 1:1 with her. After class Miss Nicole came out and said that during stretches Madi said that she could not do them because they hurt and then Kaitlyn chimed in and said that they do hurt and make her "pigtails hurt" too. How cute is that!!!! I just had to smile when I heard that! Miss Nicole said that was a new one as she had not heard that excuse before:)

Play Group

Today we had play group at our house. We love playing with all of the kids and mommy enjoys hanging out with all of the mommies who she used to teach with at Woodland!! One thing we forgot to do was get a group shot since we have a few new kids in our playgroup. It was a beautiful day and so we played inside for a little while and then were able to let the kids run around outside before lunch. Here are Kaitlyn and Madi drawing some pictures on the Doodler! Colin was playing soccer with a golf club.....its a new sport!! :)
These two pics crack me up as the kids were just so happy running around the yard doing their own things that none of them really payed attention to each other:)
The little siblings were smart and stayed aways from all of the big kiddos so they didnt get trampled on!!
Abby and Brynn watching from the sidelines:) We were still missing a few of the little onlookers. The big kids waiting patiently for lunch!
With Kaitlyn and Colin's birthday near we had make your own sundaes and sang Happy Birthday. Here they are picking out their toppings! Yum!!
Look at my 2 big smiling kids!!! Hard to believe that they will be 3 years old soon! Makes me emotional thinking about it:) They were so excited to have candles in their sundaes and have everyone sing to them!!!

Young Family Picture

We had a family picture taken outside as a gift from the kids for our parents 60th birthdays. Here is the final picture. Its going to be blown up and hung in the foyer of my parents new house. Cam, Kaitlyn, Colin and myself had a picture taken too but we are saving it for our Christmas card so we are not sharing it on the blog....you will have to wait til you receive your Christmas card to see it:)

American Girl Store

Today Kaitlyn and Colin had special dates. Colin went to Chuck E Cheese with Auntie Kelly and Quintin and had a lot of fun!! I am waiting for her to send us the pictures so I can post them. Kaitlyn really wants the Bitty Twins for her birthday so Grandma Young decided we should make a trip to the store to decide which twins she wants. Kaitlyn was beyond excited this morning and so was Colin! We appreciated Auntie Kelly taking Colin on a date too so he felt as if he had a special day as well...it worked out perfect! Here is Kaitlyn before we left Grandmas house. Mommy and Kaitlyn before heading to Chicago!
This was too funny! Mary Ann Ahern, from Channel 5 10pm news, was walking by and came up to us when I was trying to take a pic of my mom and Kaitlyn and was saying how adorable Kaitlyn was. She asked if we wanted her to take a picture of all 3 of us in front of the store. She was so sweet!!!! This is the picture she took....her pic skills aren't the best because she cut off the American Girl Store sign...oh well:)
So I retook it...he, he!!Kaitlyn was showing Grandma the trundle bed that she wants for her Bitty twins.
Checking out all of the accessories for the dolls! There are SO many!!
Another thing she was adding to her list for Christmas was the double stroller...poor Grandma and Papa have a long list!
Look at all of these dolls!!!
Grandma surprised mommy and Kaitlyn and made reservations at the American Girl cafe for lunch. It was SO cute!! Since Kaitlyn didn't have her Bitty twins yet they have dolls you can "borrow" for the lunch. Kaitlyn picked this pretty doll out and a highchair. She loved her! Here she was reading her menu deciding what she wanted for lunch.

Because Kaitlyn's birthday is near she received a birthday sticker and a candle in her dessert. They sang Happy Birthday to her and she thought it was pretty neat!
My mom and I were SOO extremely proud of Kaitlyn today. We saw one girl laying on the floor kicking her legs screaming because she wanted something and her mom wouldn't buy it her her. Kaitlyn knew that today was just a "looking" day for her to show Grandma what she wanted for her birthday and Christmas. She was so good and did not cry or ask us to buy her anything. She showed Grandma her choices and that was it. Grandma ended up secretly buying everything so she could save the shipping costs and be done. The funny thing is that we took this picture of her with all of the bags and she didn't even look inside and seemed oblivious that these gifts were all for her:) He, He!! She is such a good little girl!! I was happy to also get a good report on Colin and how well behaved he was today too. I am such a proud Mommy!!! We plan to go back in the Spring with both Grandma's, Auntie Kelly and Kaitlyn's Bitty twins!!!

Fun Sunday

Today we had friends over to play and watch the Bears game. Bella, Tyler, Kaitlyn and Colin played so well together! We missed seeing Amanda but look forward to playing with everyone again soon! Heidi brought K & C's birthday gift since they cant come to their party. Here they are opening it...what did you get???
Wow! The V-Motion game system.....just what we wanted!
We are pretty lucky kiddos!! Its like the Wii for kids!
How appropriate....a Mickey Mouse game for the system since we just got back from Disneyland! Also, thanks for getting us an extra controller so we can play each other.
Bella, K & C trying to figure out how to play....

Having lots of fun playing! Thanks so much Heidi, Steve and Tyler!!!

Happy Early Birthday K & C!

I feel like I am on blog overload lately!!! There seems to be things everyday that I want to post and share with everyone:) Today was a exciting day for Kaitlyn and Colin!!! We surprised them with their birthday presents a few weeks early and bought them full size beds. Their cribs converted into toddler beds and they have been sleeping in those for a long time and we decided that since they will be turning 3 years old its now a good time to convert them to full size beds. Here they are running out when daddy pulled up...they were SOOO surprised!!! We put their toddler mattresses in the loft and they watched some tv while Cam and I put the beds together. Say goodbye to Dora and Diego bedding!!!
Kaitlyn helped Daddy put her bed together.
Testing out Kaitlyn's bed.
Ahhh! Kaitlyn loves her new bed!!! Cam thought he was done with the project but you all know that it is going to bother me that Kaitlyn's lettering isn't centered over her bed now that we rearranged her room....Cam said its a project for another day because he will have to patch and repaint.....bummer!
Colin loves his new bed too!!
The best part is that as I am typing this post they are both snuggled in their new beds napping....so far we have success!!!! So now we have extra beds for any visitors that want to come stay with us!!

Halloween 2008

We hope that everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!! We went to daddy's school in the morning and went trick or treating to all 3 of his secretaries desks and the assistant principals office. We thought it was really neat to receive full size candy bars and treats from everyone:) Here we are in daddy office...Colin was holding on tight to his candy and treats...looking to make sure Kaitlyn wasn't going to snag them from him:) Kaitlyn and Colin A.K.A. for all of you Greys Anatomy fans....Dr. McDreamy and Meredith:)

Mikaela dressed up as a doctor too:)
Our friends form the neighborhood!
After 3 hours of trick or treating we had to keep emptying these pumpkins because they were overflowing and too heavy for us to carry!
Tom was taking us up to the neighbors house for some candy.
At the end of the night Kaitlyn was getting tired since she didn't nap...if you asked her how she was doing she said.."CRABBY!" It was hilarious!!! She was relaxing in the wagon and putting her feet up on our cooler...the adults needed some fun drinks too:)

Thanks Dave for the ride!!!
