Today Kaitlyn and Colin had special dates. Colin went to Chuck E Cheese with Auntie Kelly and Quintin and had a lot of fun!! I am waiting for her to send us the pictures so I can post them. Kaitlyn really wants the Bitty Twins for her birthday so Grandma Young decided we should make a trip to the store to decide which twins she wants. Kaitlyn was beyond excited this morning and so was Colin! We appreciated Auntie Kelly taking Colin on a date too so he felt as if he had a special day as well...it worked out perfect! Here is Kaitlyn before we left Grandmas house.
Mommy and Kaitlyn before heading to Chicago!
This was too funny! Mary Ann Ahern, from Channel 5 10pm news, was walking by and came up to us when I was trying to take a pic of my mom and Kaitlyn and was saying how adorable Kaitlyn was. She asked if we wanted her to take a picture of all 3 of us in front of the store. She was so sweet!!!! This is the picture she took....her pic skills aren't the best because she cut off the American Girl Store sign...oh well:)
So I retook it...he, he!!
Kaitlyn was showing Grandma the trundle bed that she wants for her Bitty twins.
Checking out all of the accessories for the dolls! There are SO many!!
Another thing she was adding to her list for Christmas was the double stroller...poor Grandma and Papa have a long list!
Look at all of these dolls!!!
Grandma surprised mommy and Kaitlyn and made reservations at the American Girl cafe for lunch. It was SO cute!! Since Kaitlyn didn't have her Bitty twins yet they have dolls you can "borrow" for the lunch. Kaitlyn picked this pretty doll out and a highchair. She loved her! Here she was reading her menu deciding what she wanted for lunch.

Because Kaitlyn's birthday is near she received a birthday sticker and a candle in her dessert. They sang Happy Birthday to her and she thought it was pretty neat!
My mom and I were SOO extremely proud of Kaitlyn today. We saw one girl laying on the floor kicking her legs screaming because she wanted something and her mom wouldn't buy it her her. Kaitlyn knew that today was just a "looking" day for her to show Grandma what she wanted for her birthday and Christmas. She was so good and did not cry or ask us to buy her anything. She showed Grandma her choices and that was it. Grandma ended up secretly buying everything so she could save the shipping costs and be done. The funny thing is that we took this picture of her with all of the bags and she didn't even look inside and seemed oblivious that these gifts were all for her:) He, He!! She is such a good little girl!! I was happy to also get a good report on Colin and how well behaved he was today too. I am such a proud Mommy!!! We plan to go back in the Spring with both Grandma's, Auntie Kelly and Kaitlyn's Bitty twins!!!
